INTRODUCTION
A client within the sustainable eCommerce and wellness space is seeking a Data Analyst who will be a core contributor to their marketing and growth analytics team. This group is positioned to drive data-informed decisions around customer targeting, campaign performance, and user behavior optimization. The ideal candidate should have experience working with marketing datasets, campaign analytics, and scalable data solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Lead end-to-end execution of data projects, including managing timelines, aligning priorities with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving strategic conversations to ensure business impact.
β’ Deliver high-quality data insights and build scalable data products that support decision-making across Thrive Market.
β’ Proactively identify and resolve data integrity and performance issues in production environments.
β’ Collaborate with all areas of data management as lead to ensure patterns, decisions, and tooling are implemented by enterprise standards.
β’ Perform data source gap analysis and create data source/target catalogs and mappings.
β’ Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of cross-system integration, interactions, and relationships to develop an enterprise view of Thrive Marketβs future data needs.
β’ Develop dashboards, visualizations, and granular datasets that provide actionable insights on subscriber acquisition user flow enhancements.
β’ Serve as tactical liaison for stakeholders to provide the most accurate and relevant information to help drive meaningful business decisions.
β’ Continually design, test, and deploy new reports - all to provide a state-of-the-art reporting environment.
β’ Respond to ad-hoc reporting needs while ensuring data accuracy & integrity.
β’ Leverage external industry data to identify assortment gaps and category opportunities.
β’ Create price optimization tools & analysis to help category managers make the best pricing decisions vs. competitive sites.
β’ Partner with the Finance team to translate product decisions into member and financial impact for our business.
β’ Adapt and move quickly in a fast-paced environment, with a pragmatic approach to analysis.
β’ Develop a deep understanding of user behavior patterns and insights and correlate engagement metrics with conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and financial performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ M.S. or Ph.D degree in statistics, computer science, operations research, computational physics or related field
β’ 7+ years of work experience with proven track record of data science and/or data analytics
β’ Proficiency in at least one high level programming language like Java / Scala / Python / C++ and SQL
β’ Experience with large scale data analysis in Hive or Spark is a plus
β’ Experience in ecommerce and/or subscription businesses, billing cycles, and payment instruments
β’ Experience with Snowflake or similar DB, large data ETL and advanced SQL
β’ Experience in statistics and multivariate regression
β’ Strong data visualization skills; and familiarity working with Domo, Tableau or similar technologies
β’ Ability to simply and persuasively communicate key insights to non-technical stakeholders
β’ Intellectual curiosity and a strong sense of initiative
β’ Ability to demonstrate flexibility and integrity: be able and willing to work hands on, independently or with a small team providing leadership
β’ Passion for turning data into insights and helping others unlock the power of their data
