Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Strategist to join our dynamic marketing team. The Senior Digital Strategist is a senior-level leader in our agency - responsible for shaping, communicating, and guiding digital marketing strategies across DotCom and its client portfolio. This role serves as the strategic brain of the agency - ensuring all programs, campaigns, and websites align with client business goals, industry best practices, and DotCom’s bold, results-driven standards. The Senior Digital Strategist partners directly with the Owner, Directors, Client Managers, and Specialists to translate big-picture vision into actionable, measurable outcomes. They act as a client-facing thought leader - inspiring confidence, solving complex challenges, and keeping DotCom on the cutting edge of SEO, AI search, paid ads, content, and digital innovation. Responsibilities Client Strategy & Leadership • Lead client strategy meetings, quarterly reviews, and web calls with authority and clarity. Agency Collaboration • Partner with Client Managers (Sarah & Karly) to ensure client needs are met and expectations exceeded. • Collaborate with Directors of Operations, Creative, and Sales & Marketing to align departmental execution with strategy. • Work closely with the Client Success Manager (Toni) to audit issues, review reporting, and anticipate problems before they impact clients. • Provide mentorship, direction, and knowledge-sharing across the agency to raise the strategic skill level of all teams. Innovation & Intelligence • Stay at the forefront of digital trends (SEO algorithm updates, AI search, platform changes) and proactively integrate them into strategy. • Conduct competitive research and market benchmarking to guide client positioning. • Support DotCom’s authority in the fence industry by contributing to thought leadership (articles, speaking opportunities, internal training). Measurement & Optimization • Define KPIs and success metrics for each client strategy. • Review analytics, performance reports, and campaign results to recommend adjustments. • Ensure all strategies are results-driven, measurable, and aligned with ROI expectations. • Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies (SEO, paid ads, content, local search, AI search readiness, etc.). • Analyze client goals, market conditions, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and risks. • Translate complex digital concepts into clear, actionable recommendations that clients can understand and trust. • Act as an escalation point for high-level client issues, providing solutions with professionalism and confidence. Qualifications • 7+ years of proven experience in digital marketing strategy, with strong expertise in SEO, PPC, content, analytics, and conversion optimization. • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, with ability to lead meetings and presentations with confidence. • Team-oriented, collaborative personality with proven ability to work across departments and build trust with colleagues. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex issues for clients and teams. • Strong analytical skills; comfortable interpreting data to guide decision-making. • Experience in an agency environment is strongly preferred. • A keen interest and experience with emerging AI tools is a major plus. Education Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Requirements • Reliable Internet Connection: High-speed, stable internet for seamless video conferencing, file sharing, and platform access. • Computer/Laptop: Employees are required to provide their own equipment. It should be fast, in good working order, and in new or like-new condition to ensure optimal performance. • Peripherals: Monitor(s), webcam, headset, keyboard, mouse, and other necessary accessories. • Quiet Environment: A distraction-free workspace is vital for your role. • Secure Wi-Fi: Use of encrypted, password-protected Wi-Fi to avoid security breaches. • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Proficiency in Google workspace, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and tools. • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to tasks and challenges. Work Schedule & Productivity Expectations • Working Hours: Your hours will be somewhat flexible. However, we expect the majority of your time to align with "normal business hours"—Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. • Daily/Weekly Check-ins: Regularly scheduled meetings with your supervisor or team members will ensure progress tracking and open communication. • Time Tracking: You will need to comply with our time-tracking policy to monitor productivity. • Time Management: You are expected to work independently, meeting deadlines and maintaining focus through goal-oriented work. Daily or weekly objectives will help keep you on track. • Task Management: You’ll be required to use our task management tool to track your work progress and deadlines.
