Purpose of Job Newegg is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth and strategic initiatives for the Newegg Marketplace. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, leveraging their expertise in business development, sales strategies, and partnership management to enhance seller engagement and revenue opportunities. Job Description β€’ Develop and execute strategic sales plans to recruit and onboard sellers to Newegg Marketplace. β€’ Identify, establish, and nurture long-term partnerships to drive business growth. β€’ Optimize existing partner relationships through data-driven insights and proactive account management. β€’ Lead negotiations for new seller agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms. β€’ Prospect and engage with new sellers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions. β€’ Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. β€’ Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to refine sales strategies. β€’ Maintain detailed seller intelligence, including industry trends, buying behaviors, and preferences. β€’ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product teams to enhance the seller experience. β€’ Ensure timely issue resolution and seller support to drive satisfaction and retention. Job Requirements β€’ Ideally, the candidate can have third-party provider experience, such as Rithum (ChannelAdvisor) or SalesCloud. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 5+ years of experience in business development, logistics sales, or e-commerce marketplace management. β€’ Strong understanding of supply chain, sales strategies, and business operations. β€’ Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. β€’ Proven ability to exceed aggressive sales targets and drive business growth. β€’ Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven. β€’ Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. β€’ Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities. Exceptional customer service acumen, with a keen focus on meeting and exceeding seller expectations. Essential Mental & Physical Function Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to supervisor's guidelines. Physical Functions: Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
