Role description
At Raaka, we make uncommonly delicious dark chocolate from scratch, using unroasted cacao beans, bringing the best out of single origin cacao through creative craft and whole food ingredients. Since 2010, we’ve been introducing people to a new taste of chocolate, offering bars made with Tanzanian cocoa nibs aged in bourbon casks, house-made waffle cones, and bars made with both classic and unusual pairings like mushrooms, smoked teas, vegetables, and spices. We purchase cacao directly from cooperatives and farms across the world through our Transparent Trade sourcing model and we make all of our chocolate from bean-to-bar at our factory in Red Hook, Brooklyn. No one makes chocolate like we do, and we’re always looking to make people think deeply and differently about the chocolate they eat.
Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Ecommerce will lead the day-to-day operations of Raaka’s DTC and Amazon businesses. They will be responsible for delivering measurable results that increase sales, drive traffic, and improve digital ad performance to achieve Raaka’s quarterly sales goals. Reports to the CEO.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ecommerce Strategy: Develop and implement an ecommerce strategy to drive sales, optimize conversion rates, and increase customer lifetime value.
• Amazon Management: Manage our presence on Amazon (3P) to ensure best-in-class listings, promotions, and advertising.
• DTC Management: Manage the day-to-day operations, including the merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies for the website (Shopify) to increase conversion rates and AOV.
• Analytics & Reporting: Analyze and report on key performance indicators such as ROAS, CAC, LTV, and CVR across all ecommerce platforms.
• Performance Marketing: Collaborate with the Brand Director to execute customer acquisition campaigns across all Raaka digital marketing platforms, including, but not limited to, email, SMS, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, and paid social.
• Site Optimization: Provide strategic direction to the marketing team to optimize images, copy, and SEO across our ecommerce platforms.
• Retention & Customer Experience: Increase engagement and retention across the customer journey, including subscription and loyalty programs, and customer service.
Skill Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience managing Amazon (Seller Central) and Shopify.
• 3+ years of experience with Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads Manager.
• 3+ years of experience with Amazon Seller Central (FBM & FBA) and Amazon Advertising.
• Hands-on experience managing Email and SMS campaigns with Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of customer acquisition, retention, subscription, and loyalty strategies.
• Experience managing a profit and loss statement.
• Experience using these or similar tools: ReCharge, Helium10, Stamped Reviews & Loyalty, Gorgias, Rebuy, and Alia.
• Ability to use analytical tools to set, monitor, and report on KPIs.
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to be a thought leader on the team while leading execution.
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience with affiliate and influencer marketing.
• Experience with TikTok Shop and Advertising.
• Experience managing agency partners.
Salary range:
This position is Full-Time Salaried, $90k+ commensurate with experience. Robust bonus plan tied to performance.
Benefits:
Stock Options: All full time Raaka employees are offered performance-based stock options. Stock options are a right to buy Raaka stock at a share price which is locked in as of the date in which the employee begins full-time work. All employees have an 10 year window in which to decide to exercise their stock options (ie. purchase the stock or sell the option to a 3rd party). Options vest over 4 years, with a 1 year cliff.
Health Insurance:
All full-time employees are given the option to enroll on Raaka’s group health insurance plan which includes medical, dental and vision insurance. We cover $475 per month of the plan premium for medical.
Paid Leave + Personal Days:
Every employee is granted two personal days per year as of their first day of hire. For salaried positions, 10 vacation days are granted after 6 months worked and unlimited vacation is granted after 18 months in the role.
