Role description
About the Role Tushbaby is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Ecommerce Operations Manager to help drive operations across our Shopify DTC storefront, Amazon and TikTok Shop sales channels. This role is a critical connector across marketing, inventory, and customer service, focused on driving sales, scaling infrastructure, and optimizing performance across platforms. You’ll play a lead role in ensuring we deliver a frictionless experience from click to delivery, while also helping us unlock new growth opportunities through smarter systems, cleaner workflows, and a sharp eye on channel health. Key Responsibilities1. Operational Leadership & Team Management • Lead and mentor the Operations and Customer Service teams to deliver excellent performance across all touchpoints • Oversee execution across Shopify (DTC), Amazon, TikTok Shop, and third-party marketplaces • Drive team accountability for fulfillment, order flow, and service SLAs, ensuring a consistent and efficient customer experience 1. Sales Channel Execution & Optimization • Act as operational owner of Shopify and marketplaces, maintaining accuracy across product listings, promotions, fulfillment, and checkout functionality • Proactively identify ways to improve conversion rate, site speed, search optimization, and upsell opportunities within Shopify • Partner with Marketing and Finance to optimize channel profitability and drive cross-functional testing (e.g. bundles, BOGO, launch sequences) 1. Shopify & Platform Integration • Use your working knowledge of Shopify features, apps, and backend logic to recommend improvements to site structure and store performance • Collaborate with external Shopify developers or Shopify Experts when needed • Collaborate with internal web dev teams • Manage product launches and seasonal updates across all channels, ensuring readiness and operational alignment 1. Inventory & Marketing Ops (in collaboration with Inventory Lead) • Coordinate with the Inventory Director to Provide forecasting insights that align with marketing plans and channel demand • Work with the marketing team to help create lifecycle marketing that helps move latent inventory and best-seller/restock opportunities 1. Customer Service & Post-Purchase Experience • Oversee a nimble, high-performing CX team, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets and DMs • Ensure our service teams are equipped to support Amazon, TikTok, and Shopify customers across email, chat, and social • Identify root causes of common issues and work cross-functionally to fix them 1. Process & Tooling Improvement • Audit and improve SOPs across fulfillment, order management, and customer experience • Implement tools and systems to help us scale operations without scaling headcount • Drive automation wherever possible (e.g. reporting, fraud prevention, order routing, inventory alerts) 1. Data Insights & Reporting • Leverage tools like Daasity, Shopify, and Amazon Seller Central to pull actionable insights on channel health • Track fulfillment KPIs, return rates, customer contact reasons, and conversion trends • Regularly report out to leadership on performance and flag issues early with proposed solutions • Provide solutions for teams to implement What Success Looks Like • Shopify store is fast, optimized, and driving conversions • All channels are synced, healthy, and operating efficiently • Launches go live on time and without fire drills • Customers are happy and repeat • You know what’s working, what’s not, and you have a plan Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in operations, eCommerce, or sales channel management • Proven success owning or managing a Shopify Plus store • Strong grasp of Amazon Seller Central, including listing health, fulfillment strategies, and reporting • Experience working with 3PLs and internal inventory teams • Familiarity with apps, integrations, and automation tools within the Shopify ecosystem • Ability to lead small teams, collaborate across functions, and adapt quickly in a growth-stage brand Nice-to-Haves • Experience with TikTok Shop or international DTC • Prior exposure to Daasity or equivalent analytics tools • Understanding of UX/CRO best practices and how backend ops impact front-end conversion • Startup or founder-mentality—you move fast and take ownership
