Job Overview The Senior, Marketplace Analyst plays a pivotal role in analyzing the impact of, and identifying growth opportunities for, the online retail marketplace. They are responsible for analyzing and interpreting numerous data sources (sales, site performance, customer behavior, seller performance, etc.) to enhance the overall customer and seller experiences, drive sales, and contribute to strategic decision-making. What You Will Do • Provide thought leadership in analytics to the marketplace team and cross-functional partners, focusing on sales performance, site experience, customer behavior, seller performance, and marketplace trends. • Lead the application of insights to influence marketplace strategies, driving measurable growth in digital sales, traffic, customer acquisition and retention, basket size, and profitability. • Generate insightful reports and present findings to key stakeholders, including C-Suite executives. • Collaborate within the Marketplace team and with key stakeholders to analyze competitor activities and market trends, identifying opportunities for growth. • Take the lead on strategic analytics projects across teams. • Collaborate with the marketplace and analytics/reporting teams to identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and enhance existing reporting and analysis processes. Skills You Will Need Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in data analysis and query tools such as SQL, Python, or R, as well as data visualization/reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis, draw actionable insights and recommendations, and effectively translate them into summaries or presentations. Thought Leadership: Ability to provide thought leadership in analytics to the marketplace team and cross-functional partners. Strategic Influence: Capability to lead the application of insights to influence marketplace strategies. Communication: Proficiency in generating insightful reports and presenting findings to key stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, in a clear and concise manner. Collaboration: Capacity to collaborate within the Marketplace team and with key stakeholders. Project Management: Ability to take the lead on strategic analytics projects across teams, juggle multiple projects, identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate informative updates to colleagues.
