Global Accounting network are partnering with this international travel and technology company on the search for their new Senior Payments Manager. Are you a seasoned payments professional with a passion for driving innovation and optimizing customer experiences? The Role – As the Senior Payments Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company's payments strategy and operations. • Establishing and managing commercial relationships with the company's payment providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring they deliver the products, features, and services needed to meet customer needs across various payment touchpoints. • Providing expert guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders on how to further optimize the company's customer payment operations, while ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, and leveraging your extensive network to identify and realize new business opportunities. • Building best-in-class payment journeys that balance an exceptional customer experience with cost-effectiveness and fraud prevention. • Translating the company's needs to external partners and finding innovative solutions to meet those requirements. • Maximizing the incentives generated by virtual card payments to direct suppliers, and improving the operational efficiency of these processes. • Deputizing for the Head of Payments and contributing to key strategic decisions as the company expands internationally. The Person - • A proven track record in managing payments commercial relationships, negotiating and improving terms, and driving operational efficiencies. • In-depth knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including card payments and alternative forms of payment, with a strong understanding of the key stakeholders and industry drivers, particularly across Europe. • Outstanding commercial acumen and the ability to identify and realize business opportunities. • Extensive industry network and the capacity to find solutions for any unknown elements. • Experience in building best-in-class payment journeys, balancing customer experience, cost reduction, and fraud prevention. • The ability to translate the company's needs to external partners and find innovative solutions. • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally in sectors such as e-commerce, technology, or FMCG. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
