About The Role About the role Join Shopify's groundbreaking Solutions Engineering team as a Senior Solutions Engineer, where you will drive technical solutions and shape commerce strategies for our B2B clients. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that solutions meet merchant needs while bringing valuable insights back to our product team. Engage with high-value, strategic projects and demonstrate Shopify's cutting-edge technology capabilities. Key Responsibilities: • Own the technical relationship with our most strategic and largest prospective clients. • Partner with Sales in leading requirements discovery, solution presentations, and Proof of Concept builds. • Architect comprehensive solutions from front-end design to backend integration. • Ensure all solution components fit well together and are accepted by stakeholders. • Serve as an expert on Shopify’s application ecosystem, integrations, and platform processes. • Engage with technical and non-technical clients to demonstrate solutions and platform value. • Mentor and coach other client-facing teams on technical aspects of our platform. • Travel for customer on-site visits as needed (15-25%, varying by market segment and scope). Qualifications: • A solutions mindset with experience in custom solutions for advanced B2B customers. • Passion for collaboration and sharing expertise in a team-selling environment. • Experience presenting to technical C-suite decision-makers. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills, and technical architecture expertise. • Proficiency in API technologies (REST and GraphQL) for enterprise integrations. • Solid understanding of technical strategy for growing commerce businesses. • Strong time management and prioritization skills for managing multiple opportunities. • Fluency in English and either French, Spanish, or Italian. • Proven track record working with commerce customers as a Presales Engineer or Solution Architect. • Expertise in unified/omnichannel commerce and Shopify ecosystems. • Familiarity with development lifecycles, version control systems, and environments.
