Role description
We’re looking for an SEO Manager to join our Marketing team at Virgin Experience Days. The Marketing team bring our experiences to life! We are seeking a strategic, proactive and results-driven SEO Manager to drive forward our SEO program and the implementation of key SEO recommendations and initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on executing strategies that will enhance organic performance, improve site health, and maximise visibility across search engines within the Digital Marketing team and reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing. This is a full time (Monday to Friday), permanent position working on a hybrid basis - minimum 2 days office based, in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire (SL8 5YS). We need you to help us: • SEO is a critical channel for us which drives a huge proportion of revenue for our business. You’ll be the sole SEO team member leading and implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy across on-page, technical, off-page, and analytical pillars to drive revenue and traffic growth • Shape our SEO eco-system by recommending the right tools and agencies to support delivery Role Responsibilities: Technical • Working with our Product/Tech team shape brief technical fixes and collaborate in deployment • Technical audits - supported by agency resources where needed • Work with developers to implement recommendations, including AI-driven insights • Including site structure improvements, on-page optimisations, and crawlability fixes • Maintain regular internal audits to identify and resolve core issues, such as broken links and duplicate content Content • Conduct content audits, keyword research, and brief blog content in collaboration with the content team, freelancers, and agencies On-Site • Build and foster a close working relationship with the ecommerce team to improve our On-Site SEO Back Linking • Execute and oversee outreach and link-building strategies with PR and external partners to strengthen domain authority Reporting • Monitor SEO performance through analytics dashboards and report weekly on key metrics and trends. Optimise and improve these dashboards.
