Role description
Title: SEO Performance Manager Location: Spitalfields office and hybrid wfh - minimum requirement to attend the office every Thursday Salary: £40,000+ DOE + Benefits About the role For SEO professionals, eCommerce is one of the most exciting and rewarding industries to work in. It’s fast-paced, always evolving, and gives you the chance to make a real commercial impact. We’re looking for an SEO Performance Manager to join our SEO leadership team. This role is all about driving performance, innovating delivery, and proving the value of SEO for our clients. You won’t be line-managing directly, but you’ll sit at the heart of a pod system. Working alongside an SEO Team Manager, you’ll focus on reporting, training, delivery, and performance, while they lead on people management and career growth. Together, you’ll get the best out of your team. You’ll also be part of the SEO SLT, collaborating with our other SEO pod and working closely with our Digital PR team. This role is ideal for someone who loves data-driven SEO, thrives on collaboration, and wants to shape both client performance and agency best practice. What we’re looking for The number of years on your CV isn’t what matters most, it’s the quality of your experience. We’re looking for someone who can: • Prove a track record of driving SEO performance across eCommerce clients. • Be data-driven, with strong skills in reporting, attribution modelling, and performance analysis. • Mentor and upskill others, sharing expertise without needing to directly line manage. • Simplify complex SEO into clear, actionable insights for clients and colleagues. • Deepen their technical SEO expertise in eCommerce — from advanced JavaScript to emerging AI trends. • Bring fresh ideas and individuality, challenging convention and driving innovation. • Work closely with client services and project managers to ensure we deliver at a proactive, best-in-class level. The impact you’ll have As SEO Performance Manager, you’ll be responsible for: • Delivering bespoke, innovative SEO strategies. • Driving client performance and revenue growth. • Elevating the quality of deliverables across your pod. • Developing reporting and attribution models that prove SEO’s value. • Supporting the SEO Team Manager in upskilling the team. • Shaping your pod’s mini-P&L and overall contribution to NOVOS. Our values At NOVOS, our values guide everything we do. We’re looking for someone who lives them too: • Sustained Growth: You will be relentlessly focused on learning, reading and growing as an individual within SEO and wider ‘soft skills’ - you will also want to distill this knowledge and experience into the businesses way of working and into the individuals in the team, coaching them to grow. Elevating the pod and your team naturally elevates you and the company. • Simplicity: An ability to boil down complex issues and problems into simple everyday language that a non-SEO can understand and follow. Cutting through jargon to make SEO accessible. • Specialism: You want to specialise into the best sector to deepen technical knowledge with advanced javascript and nuances of platforms and technologies that power eCommerce brands. Focusing on how emerging AI trends and updates impact the eCommerce industry in more depth than you’ve ever needed to before • Stand Out, Be Unique: Bringing individuality and fresh thinking every day. • Service First: Agencies are a service-based business and our focus is to offer the best service of any other agency - you need to be aligned with this and work closely with the Head of client services and project managers to ensure deliverables are met at a minimum but the proactive level of service is delivered to clients to build long term relationships and trust. About NOVOS We’re not a traditional agency. NOVOS is employee-owned, which means: • Everyone has a real voice in how we run the business. • We operate with full financial transparency. • Every team member shares in our success through annual profit share. Our mission isn’t to sell, it’s to get better every single year. That approach has been recognised externally too. We recently ranked 5th in the UK’s Best Workplaces™ and won a Beacon of Excellence award, one of just 20 agencies nationwide. We work with some of the most exciting names in eCommerce, including TALA, The Body Shop, Ruggable, Osprey, and Beavertown Brewery. Benefits We believe people do their best work when work works for them. At NOVOS, you’ll enjoy: • Unlimited holiday – because we trust you to manage your time. • Hybrid & flexible working – design a schedule that suits your lifestyle. • Peer-to-peer recognition scheme – celebrate wins with rewards that can be converted into gift cards - our favourite benefit! • Annual profit share – as an employee-owned business, everyone benefits. • Personal development opportunities – training budgets, mentorship, and career support.
