The Role
We’re seeking a Social Media Manager and Content Creator who can ideate, shoot, edit, and publish thumb-stopping content and run our social channels. You’ll be the brand’s voice across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, turning real moments and customer love into stories people want to watch, save, and share. You’ll partner closely with Brand, Creative, and Marketing teams to brief and execute content, along with Customer Care and Retail departments, to ensure every public interaction reflects our brand and delivers a seamless experience.
What You’ll DoContent Creation & Storytelling
• Develop, coordinate and execute short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), behind-the-scenes, motion and stills that are social-first and on-brand.
• Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality visuals across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (and occasionally Amazon PDPs, Email, and Website).
• Turn real moments, customer reactions, team culture, UGC, and IRL experiences into scroll-stopping narratives.
• Repurpose and reimagine assets into high-performing, multi-platform content.
• Stay plugged into platform trends, creators, cultural shifts, and storytelling formats that drive relevance and resonance.
• Continuously test, learn, and iterate, elevating what works and quickly sunsetting what doesn’t.
Social Channel Management
• Own the daily running of our social channels: planning, posting, scheduling, and trafficking assets.
• Build and maintain a rolling content calendar (weekly and monthly) aligned to product launches, campaigns, retail moments, and brand pillars.
• Write engaging social copy and on-screen hooks aligned to Spotlight Oral Care’s tone of voice.
• Manage hashtag strategy, covers/thumbnails, pinning, tagging, link-in-bio updates, UTM usage, and basic SEO for YouTube titles/descriptions.
• Work with Growth Marketing Manager to support organic posts with spend, as well as share relevant content to be used in Social Ads
Community Management & Customer Care Partnership
• Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, tags, stitches/duets, and mentions with empathy, uniqueness, and agility, escalating where needed.
• Partner with Customer Care to build on FAQs and escalation paths that protect brand trust and deliver fast resolutions.
• Track sentiment and trends and share insights back to the Marketing team.
• Support social listening, identify advocacy moments, and manage potential issues using a clear playbook and approval flow.
Collaboration & Campaigns
• Work closely with Creative, eCommerce, PR, Brand, and Retail teams to land cohesive launches and evergreen storytelling.
• Contribute to brainstorms and campaign concepts with original, strategic, and artistic thinking.
• Brief and guide UGC creators/influencers on content needs, hooks, and deliverables; review outputs for quality and compliance.
Measurement & Optimisation
• Own weekly channel targets and reporting on KPIs: views, watch time, completion rate, saves, shares, engagement rate, follower growth, traffic, and conversion, where applicable.
• Run structured tests across hooks, formats, lengths, CTAs, posting times, and thumbnails.
• Translate learnings into clear recommendations for content and spend efficiency.
Brand Guardianship
• Deeply understand the Spotlight Oral Care voice, tone, and aesthetic, and bring it to life in every frame and caption.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance for claims and product education; follow brand and regulatory guidelines for communications.
• Maintain tidy asset libraries and naming conventions; manage rights and usage windows for UGC/creator content.
Your Experience
• Proven experience creating content for brands across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with a strong portfolio of short-form video.
• Cross-platform mindset with a knack for repositioning content by channel and format.
• Strong visual eye and understanding of Spotlight Oral Care’s brand aesthetic.
• Ability to self-produce video content (on-camera and behind-the-scenes), from ideation to edit.
• Skilled social copywriter who can craft hooks, captions, and CTAs that drive engagement and shareability.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, test-and-learn environment.
• Strong understanding of digital trends and content performance metrics.
Tool Experience
• Editing: CapCut, InShot, Instagram Reels Editor, TikTok Video Editor, Canva (Desktop/Mobile), Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Design: Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Slides, Canva.
• Writing & Planning: Google Docs/Sheets, project management tools (e.g., Asana/Slack).
• Scheduling/Listening (nice-to-have): Later, Hootsuite, Sprout, Dash Hudson, or similar.
• Analytics: In-platform analytics, GA/UTMs; familiarity with eCommerce metrics is a plus.
