Job Overview The role we are seeking to fill is the Senior Director, Customer & Analytics who will be a strategic data-driven leader to head a team of Site Analytics, Product Analytics, and Business Analysts for our eCommerce platform. This role will be responsible for driving insights that enhance user experience, optimize product performance, and improve conversion across the site. This role reports to the VP, Digital Strategy & Analytics and will lead a team of analysts and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Site Merchandising, Marketing, and UX to inform decisions with data. What You Will Do • Define and execute the analytics strategy for site and influence category strategy for product performance, conversion and revenue growth. • Design, develop, and build or procure analytics tools to drive rapid business diagnostics and insights that can be used by business P&L owners. • Drive innovation in customer segmentation, retention analytics, and predictive modeling to improve LTV and ROAS. • Develop automated planning, simulation, forecasting models to identify risks and opportunities, guide execution decisions, and support the delivery of business results. • Defining and developing methods to measure core input KPIs that impact business performance on macys.com. • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate product changes and UX enhancements. • Own the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools for site metrics (traffic, engagement, conversion, retention). • Analyze user behavior across the site identify actionable insights on product usage, feature adoption, and customer journeys. • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate product changes and UX enhancements. • Proactively guide strategies for customer acquisition, retention and engagement, traffic, and conversion across merchandising, site merchandising, marketing, product management, planning and site management. • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned. Skills You Will Need • 7+ years in eCommerce category management, advanced analytics, and vendor partnership leadership. • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership and performance marketing for consumer-facing retail platforms. • Proven leadership in scaling teams, frameworks, and systems to drive double-digit revenue growth. • Experience building and deploying site and product analytics tools; strong in Tableau, SQL, and Python. • Fluency with machine learning, AI models, forecasting, and attribution analytics for retail environments. • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data into strategic narratives. • Experience in site analytics, product analytics, and retail performance analytics. • Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply. • Awareness of retail business insights tools and their relative positioning in market. • Preference for a background in fashion/apparel. Who You Are • Deep experience in e-commerce businesses. • Experience in site analytics, product analytics, and retail performance analytics. • Experience developing business reporting using business insights tools such as Tableau, Power Bl, Alteryx, Looker. • Experience performing complex analyses with machine learning models, leveraging artificial intelligence, and statistical modeling and simulations. • Strong proficiency leveraging data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R. • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions. • Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply. • Experience in using Adobe Analytics. • Experience running SaaS procurement processes. • Awareness of retail business insights tools and their relative positioning in market. • Preference for a background in fashion/apparel. • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel.
