What will you be doing? • Be the expert: Possesses strong knowledge of the product lifecycle, ensuring effective planning from concept to end-of-life to maximize profitability and sell-through. Demonstrates a keen understanding of consumer behavior, preferences, and trends to inform product and assortment strategies. Create high level line plan to achieve a balanced assortment across key dimensions by class, including price point, fashion/basic, etc. • Partner: Assist VP with developing seasonal Merchandise Line Plan to achieve Financial targets, Brand priorities and Product strategy, which will guide Design and Product Development. Partner with Design, Sales and Product team to review margins, provide analysis to reduce cost without jeopardizing quality. • Analyze: Analyze business on an on-going basis to understand drivers, identify opportunities and risks. Prepare hindsight analysis leveraging assortment analytics to identify opportunities for future plans and strategies. Conducts in-depth market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and drive strategic merchandising decisions. • Develop: Develop seasonal financial plan that supports category strategies and defines merchandise mix to achieve topline sales and margin targets. Develop balanced and compelling assortments for each segment that align with seasonal brand strategies; highlight major program opportunities and key account exclusives. Develop and mentor the Merchandising Teams. • Manage: Manage and communicate Wholesale/SRP lists for core, mid-tier, international lines. Track progress against key initiatives by developing scorecards, KPIs, and feedback loops that ensure accountability and enable course correction. Perks you will enjoy! • Our Shoe Discounts. Preferred Qualifications & Education • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field • Good understanding of trends, fashion oriented • Ability to apply analytical rigor to understand complex business scenarios • Self-starter who can work independently and can deliver projects on time • Financial management and business acumen skills, with strong negotiating skills • Minimum 2-3 years of WHSL Product Planning experience Caleres is an Equal Opportunity Employer by choice.
