Job Description
About the team and role:
We are looking for a highly strategic, results-driven Senior Manager to lead Promoted Listings, eBay’s flagship advertising product. As the single threaded owner of Promoted Listings, you will be accountable for the product’s holistic performance, including adoption, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and competitive differentiation. You will act as the connective tissue across cross-functional teams, driving alignment and accountability to maximize the impact of Promoted Listings across the platform. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role reporting directly to the GM of Advertising, who oversees the broader Advertising P&L.
What You Will Accomplish
• Own the strategy and performance of Promoted Listings across the buyer and seller ecosystems.
• Define and execute the vision for Promoted Listings in partnership with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Product Marketing teams.
• Serve as the voice of Promoted Listings within the broader Ads business, driving clarity and prioritization across multiple stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics daily to identify opportunities and lead initiatives to drive growth, efficiency, and value to sellers.
• Anticipate and proactively address competitive developments and market trends to ensure continued product leadership.
• Foster a data-informed culture of experimentation and customer-centric decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to manage dependencies, remove blockers, and drive alignment on roadmap and business priorities.
What You Will Bring
• 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, general management, business operations, or a related field.
• Proven success owning and growing a large-scale digital product or program, ideally in advertising or e-commerce.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and influence skills, with experience driving alignment across senior stakeholders and matrixed teams.
• Deep understanding of product lifecycle, go-to-market dynamics, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make high-judgment decisions.
• Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with marketplace dynamics, seller-focused platforms, or online advertising ecosystems preferred.
The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below:
$174,400 - $232,800
The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is expected in the range below:
$132,000 - $212,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
