Job Description – Store Director Location: Madison Avenue, New York Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Reports To: UK Retail Director / CEO Overview Our client, a distinguished luxury fine jewellery brand, is seeking a dynamic Store Director to lead the flagship store on Madison Avenue β€” their first and only retail presence in the United States. This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving commercial success, and championing the brand’s values through exceptional leadership and UHNW client engagement. As the senior brand representative in the U.S. market, you will manage a high-performing team across retail, back-of-house, and client experience functions. You will also coordinate closely with London HQ to ensure seamless alignment in operations, local production, and e-commerce fulfilment. Key Responsibilities: Retail Strategy & Operations β€’ Lead the Madison Avenue flagship, ensuring a seamless and elevated luxury client journey. β€’ Implement strategies to grow sales, enhance client engagement, and embody brand standards. β€’ Coordinate daily operations across sales, client relations, and back-of-house teams. Team Leadership & Development β€’ Inspire, coach, and develop a team of 10+, including sales, support, and client experience roles. β€’ Drive a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration and accountability. β€’ Identify growth opportunities and provide development plans for team members. Client Development & Brand Ambassadorship β€’ Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with UHNW clients. β€’ Represent the brand at events, client appointments, and exclusive engagements. β€’ Leverage luxury networks, personal shoppers, and concierge services to grow the client base. Local Production & Stock Coordination β€’ Liaise with the Manhattan workshop to oversee U.S.-based jewellery production. β€’ Manage stock intake, quality control, and inventory integration. β€’ Ensure accurate communication and reporting with the London production team. E-Commerce Fulfilment (U.S.) β€’ Oversee U.S. e-commerce fulfilment operations, ensuring accuracy and luxury standards in packing, wrapping, and shipping. β€’ Respond to digital customer enquiries with speed and precision. Sales Performance & Reporting β€’ Deliver and exceed sales targets for the flagship location. β€’ Monitor performance metrics and adapt strategies to drive commercial success. β€’ Provide regular reporting and insights to the UK Retail Director and senior leadership. Profile & Requirements: Experience & Background β€’ Proven experience in luxury retail leadership, ideally in fine or high jewellery. β€’ Strong background in building UHNW client relationships and personalised service. β€’ Confident leading cross-functional teams across sales and operations. β€’ Experience in logistics, stock management, or production processes is advantageous.
