Role description
Responsibilities Team Introduction The Global Payment team provides payment and financial solutions to ensure that users have a smooth and secure payment experience across our platforms and services. We are seeking an accomplished Strategic Partnership Manager who will play an integral role in managing our payment partnership network. In this role, you will explore and formalize North America and Global payment partnerships, and optimize our solutions. An ideal candidate would have experience working at payment partnership roles in fintechs, banks, technology or eCommerce marketplace companies with a proven track record in managing and optimizing payment partnerships. This role can be based out of our San Jose, San Francisco, Seattle, New York or Los Angeles offices. Responsibilities - Initiate and deepen payment partnerships with North American and Global fintechs & banks. Identify and negotiate the best payment services solutions. - Analyze North American payment market development and regulatory trends. - Work closely with ByteDance / TikTok North American and Global teams to understand local needs and proactively work on solutions to support business growth. - Ensure excellent external communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services, taking into account market specificities (regulation, competition, etc.) Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of payment partnership experience at fintechs, banks, technology or eCommerce marketplace companies - Have an in-depth understanding of the North American and Global payment industry and trends. - Strong balance of both strategic planning and an active hands-on approach is a must. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution and leading from the front. Preferred Qualifications - Proven track record in managing and optimizing payment partnerships - Strong academic background. Bachelor's degree or above. - Self-starter and problem solver with an entrepreneurial drive. - Network builder, both externally with payment ecosystem players, and internally with cross-functional teams. - Good team player. Ability to work with global, cross-functional and diverse teams to drive results. - Excellent communication skills; fluent and able to negotiate in English. - Strong organization and priority management skills, and the ability to work under pressure. - Can adapt to certain intensity of business travel. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidateโ€™s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
