Role description
This position requires a presence in New York. Key Responsibilities: • Own subscription KPIs - acquisition, conversion, churn, and lifetime value — and report on them regularly to leadership. • Manage and optimize the subscription and paywall experience (Piano or similar platform), ensuring a frictionless user journey. • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate and improve pricing, offers, messaging, and conversion flows. • Map and continuously refine the customer journey from first visit to long-term retention. • Analyze subscription funnel metrics and audience data to uncover trends and opportunities. • Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute targeted acquisition and retention campaigns. • Oversee paid media strategies related to subscription growth (search, display, social), with a focus on ROI and subscriber quality. • Partner with product, tech, and design teams to implement features and optimizations that improve subscription performance. • Lead backlog prioritization for subscription-related initiatives. • Provide clear reporting and insights on KPIs, experiment results, and campaign impact. Requirements: • 4+ years in product management, subscription services, or digital publishing, ideally with growth and retention experience. • Hands-on experience with Piano or similar subscription/paywall platforms. • Proven ability to design and run A/B tests and translate results into product and marketing improvements. • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI tracking and data visualization. • Experience mapping and optimizing customer journeys. • Familiarity with paid media and social platforms as acquisition channels. • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
