Technical Architect - Microsoft Stack (.NET, Azure)
Ecommerce & ERP Platforms
West Midlands based - 1 day per week onsite. OUTSIDE IR35 role
A leading international organisation is undertaking an ambitious digital transformation programme, including the development of a new global B2B eCommerce platform. This platform will enable distributors to browse and purchase products with real-time pricing, availability, and order tracking. Built on modern technologies including .NET, Azure, SQL, and React, it will support multi-language, multi-currency, and multi-regional operations.
We are seeking a Technical Architect to lead and govern the end-to-end technical architecture of this enterprise-scale platform, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies and integration across complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution & Technical Architecture
• Define the end-to-end architecture across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers
• Ensure the platform supports internationalisation: multi-language, multi-currency, and regional localisation
• Establish Azure-based architectural standards and best practices
• Evaluate and select appropriate middleware and messaging technologies
• Produce clear technical documentation and architectural blueprints
Integration Leadership
• Design and manage technical integration with:
• Multiple ERP systems (e.g., JDE, QAD)
• CPQ platforms (e.g., Experlogix)
• Middleware, messaging, and data synchronisation layers
• EDI systems for trading partner communication
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable solutions
About You:
• Proven experience in technical architecture roles within enterprise environments
• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including .NET and Azure cloud services
• Strong understanding of integration strategies with ERP, CPQ, and EDI systems
• Ability to guide and support development teams with architectural direction
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
