SUMMARY: The Technical eCommerce Manager is responsible for the organization's technical eCommerce strategy and related systems. This includes the flow, structure, and integrity of product data across all eCommerce platforms. This role focuses on building and maintaining product categories, taxonomies, attributes, and site architecture by leveraging data sourced from the ERP system and ensuring it translates into seamless and scalable online experiences.
This role is a key member of the internal IT team and will work as the primary interface for E-Commerce and Customer Portal related projects including projects involving key data sources and data management systems such as the primary Product Information Management (PIM) system. This position reports directly to the IT Director.

β’ Manage corporate direction and strategies for Customer Portals and other Ecommerce sites.
β’ Design, operate, and provide direction for PIM usage across the organization, especially for eCommerce purposes.
β’ Design product taxonomy strategy.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless data flow between ERP, PIM and eCommerce systems.
β’ Monitor site analytics and implement improvements based on user behavior and KPIs.
β’ Recommend and manage corporate ecommerce technologies, techniques and initiatives.
β’ Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science or information systems or other related field; or equivalent experience required.
Experience
β’ 5 β 10 years of experience in a similar role working within Industrial or Manufacturing industries.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
β’ Deep knowledge of Product Information Management (PIM) systems and architecture including integration with source systems such as ERP systems.
β’ Deep knowledge of product categorization and taxonomy best practices.
β’ Deep knowledge of Ecommerce and B2b commerce systems and portals.
β’ Experience with ERP systems such as P21 and integrations into online commerce systems.
β’ Technical proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, TSQL and data modeling toolsets or languages.
β’ Knowledge of the Microsoft tech stack: Windows OS, Azure, Office 365.
β’ Knowledge of APIs, middleware, and data synchronization between systems on-premise and cloud systems.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and end users.
Physical Demands
The work is sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing to perform the work. There may be some infrequent movement from area-to-area to transport items weighing no more than 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office environment. Regular overnight travel may be required; work outside normal business hours is required from time to time.
