Role description
Responsibilities
At least 12+ years experience in eCommerce Domain with full landscape overview across subsystems in Commerce including Customer Experience, User Management, Catalog / Browse / Search, Promotions, Offers & Pricing, Cart & Checkout, Payments, Order Capture and Post processing.
Solid track record and experience in working hands on with eCommerce platforms like Shopify (recommended), HCL Commerce, ATG or SFCC so that a full stack mindset is in play in his existing work stream.
Exposure already to package business components like Builder for CMS, Bloomreach for Search, Payment Gateways, International or Cross Border Shipping extra will have added advantage.
Exposure to event driven composable Commerce architecture with an inherent knowledge of cloud system especially AWS is suitable. Should be aware of NodeJS based service implementations and capabilities in the CSP of knowledge.
Candidate who had worked on monolithic to composable decomposition initiatives for the eComm platform has added advantage.
Deep understanding of frameworks like REST, GraphQL, JSON, XML etc.
Good knowledge on message brokers like Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, Pub / Sub etc and ways in which the message brokering can be optimized with parallel processing.
Should have good knowledge of CDN and its capabilities, Caching (client and server side), Database (SQL / No SQL)
Own and manage the technical direction of our technical stack, ensuring that it aligns with business needs and long-term goals.
Experience in web technologies like HTML / CSS, React / Typescript / Javascript and GraphQL is very essential for the project.
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Babel, etc.) will have added advantage.
Regularly conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards across the team.
Recommended that the candidate has a good grasp on CI / CD, release mechanisms, working on a high velocity scrum based teams, branching strategies, GIt / Bucket based code repository management and processes is very essential for this role.
Should have good awareness of all upstream and downstream system integrations to / from the core eCommerce system including PIM, Search, Order Management, Payment Gateways, Fraud Detection Systems, Tax systems, AVS, Shipping Carriers etc.
Soft Skills
Lead & Mentor Team: Should have a leadership and mentoring flavor where he / she should aid in upbringing next level resources to the project and caliber as demanded by the client.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact with Client leaders / stakeholders as deemed necessary for various aspects of the initiatives being engaged in.
Onboarding & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and execute strategies for onboarding new applications and features, ensuring all items worked on are properly documented and handed over to support team as part of pre-release activities..
