Job Title: UX Designer What: Fortune 500 Technology and Ecommerce Company Product: Major Cloud Service Provider Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion Pay Rate: $70-79/hour (flexible) Location: Austin, TX (100% onsite) Top Skills: β€’ Dashboard, Tables, and Forms experience β€’ Experience working in a design system β€’ Complex Enterprise Case studies (B2B, Ecommerce, or Cloud experience is a plus) β€’ Stakeholder management β€’ Experience working independently as a solo designer a plus Overview: This role involves designing user experiences for a marketplace platform and related services that facilitate software discovery, deployment, purchasing, and sales in a cloud-based environment. The team is focused on creating innovative experiences for customers and partners, requiring designers who are customer-focused, self-motivated, and collaborative. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of research skills, design expertise, and the ability to drive projects independently. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and communicate the user experience vision for various products across platforms. β€’ Use high- and low-fidelity design artifacts to achieve consensus on user experience goals. β€’ Create and maintain detailed user interface specifications, guidelines, and design pattern libraries. β€’ Produce process flows, wireframes, and visual mockups in Figma to communicate interaction designs effectively. β€’ Analyze customer problems to design solutions that meet business goals and technical requirements. β€’ Leverage user feedback, market data, and technical constraints to drive data-informed decisions. β€’ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and business development. β€’ Present design work to leadership and stakeholders for review and feedback. β€’ Ensure a consistent user experience across platforms while addressing device-specific needs. Daily Work: As a UX Designer in this role, you will lead and define user experiences for global customers. This includes developing innovative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering designs from concept to launch. The role requires a proactive, creative, and flexible individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, agile environment. Basic Qualifications: β€’ At least 5 years of experience in enterprise design. β€’ Proficiency with design tools, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. β€’ Understanding of usability and research principles and techniques. β€’ Experience conducting user research, usability studies, and creating personas and journey maps. β€’ Expertise in Figma and FigJam. β€’ Proven track record of delivering successful digital products. β€’ Familiarity with content design systems, including the use of publicly available systems like "Cloudscape." β€’ Experience with web and responsive design. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience applying agile methodologies to UX design processes. β€’ Background in designing complex workflows for e-commerce or marketplace platforms. β€’ A bachelor’s degree in design or a related field. Additional Information: β€’ Approximately 20–30% of the role involves conducting research, with the remainder focused on design work. β€’ Responsibilities include dashboard and responsive design, solving complex design problems, and conducting user testing. β€’ Travel may be required for workshops. β€’ Portfolio review process includes a 90-minute session with behavioral and design-related questions. β€’ Approved funding through early next year, with the potential for role conversion.
