About the team and the role:
As a Product Designer on the Ads team, you will contribute to the future of client's customer experience for seller advertising and promotion, working side-by-side with other cross-functional contributors to improve and evolve how sellers promote their listings and storefronts. We will rely on you to form important, collaborative relationships with your product and engineering teammates, participating in and contributing to the teamβs design thinking and product discovery as you all create innovative and intuitive solutions for our customers.
The Advertising team is one part of a larger e2e seller experience design group focused on both C2C and B2C sellers on the marketplace. This Product Designer role reports to the Senior Manager, Product Design of Advertising.
What you will accomplish:
β’ Help take to market world-class, industry-leading, user-centered designs that solve for customer needs, deliver on business requirements, account for technical feasibility and leverage future trends.
β’ Contribute to the user-experience of clientβs suite of seller tools, working with other design contributors to create a compelling and cohesive seller advertising user-experience.
β’ Contribute to product discovery activities and the strategic direction of the product experience with your teammates, including researchers, product managers, engineers, and leadership.
β’ Apply frameworks of understanding that codify large-scale, validated solutions and patterns for key customer problems, and help feedback on and evolve an overall user-experience framework that empowers sellers.
What you will bring:
β’ BS degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent experience and +5 years of professional experience in Product Design.
β’ Compelling portfolio demonstrating a broad range of product design work across web-based applications, consumer experiences, and native mobile applications
β’ Experience in product design for end-to-end user-experiences and a strong understanding of user-centered design processes with agile, cross-functional teams
β’ Ability to synthesize together industry trends, internal and third-party research, team insights, business priorities, and partner feedback into practical and compelling user-experience solutions.
β’ Hand-on experience in zero-to-one, new product and concept development, including generative research, storyboarding, user-journey mapping, competitive analysis, prototyping, qualitative feedback, and quantitative testing a plus.
β’ Experience in the e-commerce space creating platforms, tools, and products that enable e-commerce sellers a plus.
