Role description
Our client, a leader in communications and technology, is looking for a UX Writer with an entrepreneurial and collaborative approach, to help craft omnichannel digital services and applications that deliver results for our business partners. This role is obsessed with the customer experience and crafting the content that keeps them front and center while delivering on business needs. With a focus on delivering innovative experiences and content across web and mobile platforms, this person will be a stickler for details—someone who loves grammar and proper punctuation, and spots a typo a mile away. They will focus on the user journey, applying UX writing best practices alongside marketing acumen to create clear, consistent, and compelling digital experiences. • Rate: $50-60hr Responsibilities: • Collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional teams on requests from conception to delivery. • Partner seamlessly with key stakeholder groups: marketing, sales, brand, business units, and product owners. • Hone the craft of copywriting, creating outstanding content that adheres to both brand guidelines and digital best practices. • Approach all work with a content strategy lens: start with the “why” of the request, assess business and customer needs, and push back on requests as needed. • Ensure overall consistency of written copy across all projects and platforms. • Write inclusive, accessible content that meets technical delivery specifications and proper formatting for distribution. • Collaborate with product teams to evaluate and prioritize features balancing business goals with end user needs. • Participate in and/or lead workshops to drive discovery and better understand user needs. • Confidently present creative work to stakeholders, users, and development teams in both formal and informal settings. • Write and edit digital copy across multiple projects, products, and experiences. • Work both collaboratively and independently, demonstrating the ability to lead projects and initiatives autonomously. • Serve as a liaison and spokesperson with stakeholders and product owners. • Cover the full spectrum of digital writing needs, from UX microcopy to campaign content, across websites, e-commerce, and retail experiences. • Think content-first in design, ensuring copy provides relevant information and enhances the overall user journey. • Help define value propositions and articulate what customers are getting as they make digital shopping decisions. Required Qualifications: • 5–7+ years of relevant experience in UX writing, content strategy, and/or writing for marketing environments. • Background in digital agency and e-commerce/retail environments, with a track record of delivering content that drives engagement and conversions. • Stickler for details—loves grammar, proper punctuation, and can spot a typo a mile away. • Deep understanding of words as a design tool and their impact on customer experience. • Content strategy experience working within UX teams on digital web and mobile projects. • Knowledge of design thinking/human-centered design is a plus. • Proactive, analytical, and organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments managing multiple projects and deadlines.
