Role description
Our client, a global retailer, is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a team of designers, engineers, strategists, and researchers shaping the future of global commerce. As a Product Designer, you will help craft the future of this critical and foundational eCommerce touchpoint, working side-by-side with contributors from other disciplines to improve the end-to-end advertising experience for the selling experience. We will depend on you to build meaningful, collaborative relationships with our product and engineering partners, with a focus on craft of execution, creating innovative and intuitive solutions for our customers, and tackling more complex challenges through product discovery and design thinking.
β’ Rate: $60-65hr
Responsibilities:
β’ Contribute to world-class, user-centered designs that solve for customer needs, deliver on business requirements, account for technical feasibility, and leverage future trends
β’ Work with design leaders to ensure a cohesive user-experience across the product portfolio
β’ Contribute to product discovery activities and collaborate on the future direction of the product with peers, researchers, design leaders, product partners, and engineers
β’ Develop conceptual diagrams, information architecture maps, wireframes, visual mockups, lightweight specifications, prototypes and product demos that capture the teamβs shared understanding and document solutions to bring to market
β’ Collaborate within a cross-functional product team as it works to identify and validate user problems, produce inventive and thoughtful solutions for users that also work for the business, and ships to market meaningful product updates that deliver tangible results
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design
β’ Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of product design work across web-based applications, consumer experiences, and mobile devices
β’ Experience driving product design for end-to-end projects and a strong understanding of user-centered design processes in agile, cross-functional teams
β’ Proactive collaborator and communicator with a track record of high-performing teams and building strong, cross-functional partnerships
β’ Hands-on experience in new product and concept development, including generative research, storyboarding, user-journey mapping, competitive analysis, prototyping, qualitative interviews and quantitative testing
β’ Proven track record of self-direction, follow-through, and thoughtful contributorship in th face of ambiguity and complex operating environments
β’ Hands-on experience in the e-commerce space, creating ad campaign management and marketing platform tools, or designing SaaS products for small businesses a plus
β’ Degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent
