ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Manager to join our premier client’s team in Culver City, CA. This is a full-time position, starting as a 7-month contract. This role supports a growing retail team and plays a critical role in driving customer experience and category performance for artist-branded merchandise. You'll be partnering with some of the world’s most recognized artists and brands to bring exclusive apparel and licensing products to fans around the world.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-obsessed Vendor Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes full ownership of their work, and has a strong passion for retail merchandising and innovation at the intersection of music and commerce.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the business owner for assigned categories, leveraging internal tools to resolve listing defects and optimize the customer experience
• Own vendor relationships, maximizing selection by identifying gaps and partnering with brands to expand offerings
• Launch and analyze promotions to support revenue and profitability goal
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, advertising, and operations
• Conduct data-driven analysis to assess business performance and guide strategic decisions
• Advocate for the customer by identifying opportunities to improve the shopping journey and deliver a world-class retail experience
• Drive alignment with internal stakeholders and meet tight project deadlines with strong project management skills
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field preferred)
• 1–2 years of experience in retail merchandising or vendor management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups)
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and account management skills
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor or brand relationships
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in retail, brand specialist, or vendor management roles
• Experience in apparel, fashion, or licensing categories
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with tools like SQL, Google Analytics, or HTML
• Experience in selection strategy, pricing, and process improvement
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
• Track record of ownership and delivering customer-centric outcomes
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in online retail or e-commerce environments
