Role description
Vice President of Brand & Growth 📍 Location: Southern California (In-office strongly preferred) 📦 Industry: Consumer Goods / Retail / eCommerce 💼 Employment Type: Full-time 📝 Reports To: C-Suite About Us We are a fast-growing, multi-brand consumer products company with a strong presence in major U.S. retailers including Walmart, Target, Amazon, and more. Our flagship brand, Con-Tact Brand, leads in its category—but we’re just getting started. With a strong sourcing engine and distribution footprint, we’re now investing in building standout brand equity, a compelling content engine, and direct-to-consumer storytelling that drives loyalty and growth across our portfolio. We’re looking for a VP of Brand & Growth to lead that charge. About the Role This is not a traditional “VP of Marketing” role. You won’t inherit a bloated team or get stuck running brand campaigns on autopilot. Instead, you’ll be building something real—from the brand voice and story architecture, to retailer-facing materials, to a lightweight in-house content team that brings our brands to life across channels. You’ll be accountable for driving revenue across all brands. You’ll work hand-in-hand with product, sales, and ecommerce to ensure our brands don’t just exist in the market—they win in-store, online, and in consumers’ minds. Key Responsibilities • Own and evolve the brand strategy for Con-Tact Brand and other priority labels—positioning, visual identity, tone of voice, and value propositions. • Build compelling retail storytelling tools that help sales win at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and beyond. • Oversee all consumer-facing brand assets—including Amazon A+ content, packaging copy, digital ads, DTC websites, and social channels. • Lead the formation of internal content creation (designer + social/brand coordinator) to create best-in-class assets in-house. • Manage external partnerships (PR, influencers, creative freelancers) to drive brand visibility and engagement. • Define and track KPIs related to brand awareness, shopper engagement, and performance by channel. What We’re Looking For • 8–12 years of brand leadership experience in a consumer goods or omnichannel brand environment. • Proven track record building or relaunching a brand that gained meaningful traction in retail and online. • Deep understanding of retail buyers, digital merchandising, Amazon content strategy, and social storytelling. • Strong creative instincts and ability to brief, evaluate, and drive compelling design and copy. • A player-coach mindset—you’re not afraid to write the first pitch deck, edit a landing page, or jump into Canva if needed. • Experience working cross-functionally with product development, sales, sourcing, and executive leadership. • Passion for consumer behavior, trend spotting, and turning insight into action. Why Join Us? • You'll shape the brand identity of a company already on shelves nationwide—and give it a voice, look, and edge that competitors can’t replicate. • Work with a nimble, execution-focused leadership team that values speed, accountability, and creativity. • Build your own team and structure—this role has budget, support, and executive buy-in. • Real ownership, not layers of red tape. If you’ve ever said “just give me the wheel,” this is it. Sound like you? We’d love to talk. Please send your resume, a short note about a brand you’ve helped build or grow, and any relevant portfolios or case studies.
