Role description
Vice President of Sales
Location: Tampa, FL On-Site Preferred
Reports to: President
Business Units: VOLT® Lighting & AMP® Lighting
About Us
VOLT® Lighting is a leader in the design, manufacture, and direct distribution of high-performance outdoor lighting solutions. Through VOLT®, we serve homeowners directly; through AMP®, we serve professional contractors; and through OEM partnerships, we deliver solutions to large-scale retail and strategic partners.
As an industry innovator and disruptor, we are committed to quality, reliability, and customer-first strategies that drive profitable growth. Our culture is entrepreneurial and results-driven—focused on innovation, executional excellence, and delivering measurable outcomes in customer satisfaction, market expansion, and EBITDA growth.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales is a critical executive leadership role responsible for building and executing a unified strategy across all sales and marketing functions for both VOLT® and AMP® Lighting. This leader will oversee topline revenue growth across the organization, while shaping brand development, market expansion, and customer acquisition across direct-to-consumer (DTC), contractor, retail, and OEM channels.
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on sales leader who can drive performance at both a strategic and tactical level. This individual will directly lead the AMP® sales team, manage major retail account partnerships, oversee VOLT® eCommerce growth, and collaborate closely with Marketing to align initiatives with sales goals. The VP will mentor and develop sales talent, establish clear KPIs, and report directly to the President as a key member of the executive team.
This role requires a data-driven, customer-centric leader who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution—and who understands how to scale high-performing sales and marketing organizations in a competitive growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
• Own and execute the strategic vision for sales across DTC, retail, contractor, and OEM channels.
• Directly lead and scale a national sales team, with hands-on management of AMP® sales professionals and retail account executives.
• Drive performance in large retail accounts (e.g., Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s) while expanding eCommerce sales through VOLT®.
• Establish and track KPIs for sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Operations on pricing, forecasting, and product lifecycle planning.
Marketing Leadership
• Oversee brand, digital, and product marketing strategy for both VOLT® and AMP®.
• Partner with Marketing leadership to ensure sales objectives are supported by strong campaigns and content across all platforms (web, email, social, paid media, retail, etc.).
• Direct go-to-market strategy for new product launches and retail initiatives.
• Optimize the digital customer experience in partnership with eCommerce and digital marketing teams, including SEO, PPC, CRO, and lifecycle marketing.
• Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all customer touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, shaping overall company strategy.
• Work closely with Product, Finance, Operations, and Customer Experience to align initiatives and priorities.
• Use data, analytics, and customer feedback to measure success and refine strategies.
Qualifications
• 12+ years of progressive experience in sales and/or marketing leadership, ideally within consumer goods, home improvement, or lighting/electrical products.
• 5+ years in a VP-level (or equivalent) role leading integrated sales and marketing teams.
• Proven success driving retail, DTC, and B2B channel strategies in a growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of digital sales and marketing platforms, tools, and KPIs (CRM, paid search, SEO, email, analytics).
• Experience launching and scaling new product lines and entering new markets.
• Strategic thinker with strong executional leadership; comfortable rolling up sleeves when needed.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
Ideal Candidate
A results-driven, Type A leader who combines organization and discipline with positivity and collaboration. Brings corporate sales training, strong analytical ability, and digital fluency for managing sales teams. Able to inspire and mentor at the individual level while presenting confidently at the corporate level. Comfortable working “in the trenches” with sales teams while setting and delivering against ambitious organizational goals.
Compensation & Benefits
• Compensation commensurate with experience; expected range $225K–$275K + bonus
• Additional Benefits:
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave
