Role description
Job Summary: The Vintage Curator will oversee the sourcing, curation, and management of RE/DONE’s one-of-a-kind Vintage assortment. This role is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of vintage buying, preparation, and merchandising across all sales channels. The Curator ensures that each piece reflects RE/DONE’s brand identity, supports storytelling, and achieves financial targets. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Source and purchase unique vintage apparel and accessories, maintaining strong relationships with vendors, consignors, and industry contacts. β€’ Manage open-to-buy, seasonal budgets, and buying calendar while adhering to margin, sell-through, and financial goals. β€’ Track performance with weekly and seasonal reporting, providing insights to leadership. β€’ Prepare vintage items for e-commerce launch and store distribution, including: β€’ Measuring and assessing condition. β€’ Writing accurate, compelling product descriptions. β€’ Coordinating photo studio handoffs and tagging/packaging for store delivery. β€’ Merchandise the RE/DONE website to highlight storytelling, ensure strong visual presentation, and optimize conversion. β€’ Provide styling support and vintage pulls for creative content, marketing campaigns, and photoshoots. β€’ Partner with retail teams on assortment planning, visual merchandising, and in-store activations. β€’ Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align product drops, campaigns, and seasonal launches. β€’ Oversee vintage operations, including inventory transfers, shipping coordination, and expense tracking. β€’ Support retail and DTC activations such as β€œRe/Done Flea Market” events and seasonal product launches. Skills & Qualifications: β€’ 5+ years of experience in fashion buying, merchandising, or vintage curation. β€’ Deep knowledge of vintage apparel, including key eras, brands, fabrics, and market value. β€’ Strong vendor and industry relationships in the vintage/resale space. β€’ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets, reporting, and multiple projects simultaneously. β€’ Strong storytelling and visual merchandising sensibility. β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite; experience with retail/e-commerce platforms preferred. β€’ Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Passion for sustainability and preserving heritage fashion.
