What you'll be doing: ✔ Designing & Developing: You will be our go-to expert for designing, building, and maintaining beautiful, responsive websites, primarily using WordPress and Shopify. ✔ Project Ownership: You'll manage the full web project lifecycle: defining requirements, creating proposals, wireframing (in Figma/Sketch/XD), developing custom themes, and handling deployment. ✔ Client Communication: Acting as the friendly, expert point of contact for our web clients, you'll manage support requests and build lasting relationships via phone and email. ✔ Technical Management: You'll manage and maintain our client hosting environments, domains, and email setups, troubleshooting issues and carrying out regular updates to ensure everything runs smoothly. ✔ Staying Ahead: You'll keep your skills sharp by staying current with emerging technologies, design trends, and industry best practices to ensure our work is always cutting-edge. What we are looking for (The Essentials): ✔ Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in web design and/or development. Previous agency experience is a huge plus! ✔ A Strong Portfolio: A compelling portfolio is required, showcasing your skills in both UI/UX design and front-end development. We want to see websites you've personally designed and built. ✔ Platform Expertise: Advanced knowledge of WordPress and Shopify, including theme customisation and site maintenance. ✔ Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP. ✔ Design Fluency: High proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. ✔ A Keen Eye: A passion for clean visual design, pixel-perfect layouts, and meticulous attention to detail. ✔ People Skills: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, confident, and client-first approach.
