

Marketing Director
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our growth, content, and engagement initiatives. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy across content, email, SEO, social, and affiliate programs. You’ll oversee both high-level planning and day-to-day execution, driving brand awareness, user acquisition, engagement, and retention.This is a leadership role that requires both creative and analytical thinking. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and data operations teams to ensure marketing efforts align with business goals. You’ll also manage and grow a small but agile team of freelancers, interns, and marketing contributors.Key Responsibilities1. Lead content strategy and execution across the website, blog, product pages, and brand messaging. You’ll ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices, drives organic growth, and maintains consistent brand voice.1. Own the email marketing program, including newsletters, lifecycle campaigns, and automation. You’ll develop performance-driven email strategies that drive engagement and retention.1. Grow and manage affiliate and referral marketing programs, identifying new partners and optimizing for revenue and member acquisition.1. Drive community engagement and brand advocacy, encouraging user-generated content and active participation across channels.1. Establish and manage backlink and PR outreach strategies, enhancing domain authority and brand visibility.1. Stay ahead of industry trends and lead the creation of timely, compelling content to position the company as a thought leader.1. Ensure consistency and quality across all content and marketing assets, collaborating with product, partnerships, and data teams.1. Own marketing analytics and reporting, leveraging tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and others to track and optimize campaign performance.1. Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, supporting growth initiatives and product launches.1. Manage marketing asset production, including visual content for social and email, using tools like Canva or working with designers.1. Hire, lead, and mentor a team of freelancers, interns, and contractors to scale content, campaigns, and operations.You Bring: • 5+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director-level role • Proven track record of managing content, email, SEO, and growth marketing strategies • Deep understanding of performance metrics and data-driven marketing • Experience managing multi-functional teams and collaborating cross-departmentally • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strategic mindset with strong execution ability • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentBonus Experience: • Background in consumer marketplaces, ecommerce, or transactional web apps • Familiarity with technical SEO and content management systems • Experience scaling marketing efforts in a startup or early-stage company • Success managing remote or distributed teams • Proficiency in HubSpot or similar tools
