Main areas of responsibility:
• Develop and maintain high-availability ecommerce websites for a seamless user experience
• Oversee front-end and back-end projects, Web services integration, development of custom Adobe Commerce extensions, sites enhancements and optimization, resolution of issues, and SEO
• Optimize web applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Oversee work, delegation, & code review for both in-house and partner devs
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs in both frontend and backend code
• Integrate enterprise applications with the platform through APIs
• Monitor websites for availability and performance issues reviews
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, ability to research and iterate on ideal system and application configurations for optimization and reliability
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and releasing configuration and software
• Maintain the security of the e-commerce platform to protect customer data, prevent fraudulent activity and adhere to PCI compliance
• Analyze and understand customizations in Adobe Commerce projects
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs in both frontend and backend code
• Develop new features, modules, and integrations based on business requirements
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, QA, and Solution Architects
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, coding guidelines, and project documentation
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile development environment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with:
• Developing Adobe Commerce / Magento websites; Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Developer
• Object-oriented programming using PHP; ability to write PHP backend code to integrate with other internal and 3rd-party systems
• Writing web front-end code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript for storefront pages
• Using Git version control or other equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of Adobe Commerce Cloud infrastructure, including Fastly and New Relic
• Experience with containers and container orchestration
• Experience with testing methodologies, including automated testing
• Expertise with Azure is a plus
• Exposure to B2B module, PWA Studio, or headless implementations
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, web application security, and HTTP/HTTPS
• Strong skills in performance optimization and caching techniques
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Effective cross-functional collaborator; Strong communication skills are essential for working with teammates, stakeholders, and agency partners
