Role description
We're looking for a motivated Partnerships and Sales Manager to join our Affiliate Partnerships team. In this role, you'll drive affiliate revenue by building and nurturing long-term relationships with partners across both CPA and fixed-fee models.
As the day-to-day representative of The Telegraph to our affiliate partners, you'll champion the value of our trusted, high-quality content and the important role it plays in our readers' online shopping journeys. You'll be responsible for delivering revenue growth through CPA optimisation and fixed-fee sales with core advertisers.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Act as the primary representative of our affiliate team, building new relationships with advertisers, agencies, and networks, while strengthening existing partnerships.
β’ Negotiate competitive commission rates that reflect the value generated through our high-quality content.
β’ Take ownership of the affiliate tenancy sales pipeline, leading meetings and consistently exceeding quarterly sales targets.
β’ Track and manage exclusive rates, ensuring timely follow-ups before agreements expire.
β’ Develop and maintain compelling media decks that highlight the value we bring to affiliate partners, and distribute these regularly to clients, networks, and agencies.
β’ Represent the team at industry events and maintain regular in-person contact with key network and agency stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Affiliate Production team to ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standard.
β’ Line manage one direct report, supporting their professional development and performance
Requirements
β’ Experience in consultative client-facing roles with revenue or sales targets
β’ Strong and confident communication skills - you can take complicated concepts and explain them simply in a way that's tailored to your audience at all levels of seniority
β’ Brilliant presentation skills - including compiling high standard presentation decks
β’ Determined, resilient and driven by targets, always striving to exceed them
β’ Relationship building - you make connections easily and maintain those relationships. You actively listen to advertiser needs, and understand the need to prioritise the long term commercial relationship over smaller short-term gains
β’ Ability to prioritise and manage your own time effectively - you take responsibility for your own pipeline and can manage peaks and troughs in your workload
β’ A genuine passion for the affiliate industry and the role that high quality content plays within the eCommerce funnel
