Job Description The Commerce Payments organization is a motivated, forward-thinking team with a singular focus of delivering innovative payment services via the most important platforms of today and tomorrow. As a Vice President, Product Architect within the Commerce Payments organization, you will be responsible for understanding and designing the architecture for agentic commerce systems, including AI agents and payment integrations. We’re looking for someone who is customer obsessed, has a strong passion to lead “start-up” efforts in large companies, and a desire to be on the forefront of digital payments and technology. As a key player on this new team, you will be responsible for informing both the strategy and the product development lifecycle and shipping requirements that ultimately impact 70m+ Chase consumers. Job Responsibilities • Design scalable architectures for agentic commerce, integrating AI models and with payment networks • Evaluate and recommend technical frameworks for AI agents, ensuring compatibility with merchant systems and payment protocols. • Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure technical feasibility of product features. • Prototype and test integrations with partner APIs • Stay updated on advancements in AI (e.g., agentic systems, LLMs) and payment technologies (e.g., tokenization, blockchain). • Manage product and team backlog, ensure strong agile metrics, and support ongoing production support, issue & defect resolution and prioritization. Collaborate with a team of cross-functional partners (i.e. Risk, Control, Compliance, Legal) to ensure a strong risk and controls environment. • Deliver communications to executives and leadership team on the strategy and progress. Publish regular executive reports summarizing the overall health of the product, industry and competitive trends and the voice of the customer. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills • Deep expertise in AI/ML architectures, particularly agentic systems or autonomous agents with 7+ years of experience in financial services, digital, product management and/or Agile software development. • Experience with payment systems (e.g., APIs, tokenization, fraud detection). Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and API integrations. Ability to prototype and test complex systems quickly. • Experience as a product manager in fintech, e-commerce, payments or AI-driven products withBasic understanding of AI agent frameworks and payment processing systems. • Passion for understanding customer needs and demonstrated ability to build digital products. • Ability to think strategically and to connect the dots to the bigger picture, while still comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution. • Proven success in collaborating, influencing and driving decisions with multiple stakeholders, including team members across product, technology and design. Proven track record of managing risk and controls. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management or comparable field of study.
