(YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) The Assistant Buyer will provide the Merchandise team with the information and data analysis necessary to make product and inventory decisions. They are assigned specific responsibilities that aid in financial decisions that are made by both Buyers and upper management. The position is an integral part of the department and will coordinate across internal departments. Responsibilities • Creates and manages all weekly and monthly selling and inventory reports in order to support the business and make sound financial decisions • Actively participates in merchandise selection process, placement of orders, issuing POs, and works with Planning on tracking inventory • Partners with Associate Buyer/Senior Buyer to analyze the weekly business. Is proactive by making recommendations on future buys to grow and expand the business • Creates and manages weekly on order reports to ensure goods are shipped on time and inventory is aligned • Partners with eCommerce Site Merchants on content proposals, promotions, storytelling, and product attributing • Ownership of sample management: checks in and out all samples to different cross functional partners, as well as maintains racks • Inputs product information into a master shot list, gathers samples needed for domestic Photo Shoots, and works with the Digital team on any product updates or changes • Works with Production to ensure product is made, ticketed, and labeled correctly before goods are received • Analyzes colors, fits, fabrications, and size selling to place future orders correctly • Creates and maintains boards, photo matrices, and digital showroom presentations • Develops relationships and follows through with Planning, Production, Marketing, Design, and third party vendors on the day-to-day details of the business • Shops competing venues to monitor fashion trends, pricing strategies and presentation techniques. Reports industry information to Buying team. Actively looks at other competitors’ sites and brings new information/trends to the team Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree; in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing or Business Administration preferred • 1+ years of related internship, schooling and/or retail experience • Must be proficient in Excel and retail math • Must be detail oriented, proactive, agile, and a fast learner • Strong planning, inventory, order entry, and analytical skills preferred • Must be able to handle multiple projects with adherence to deadlines • Must be highly organized • Must be able to work independently as well as on group projects • Must be self-motivated, proactive and confident with decision making • Must be able to communicate well with peers and upper management • Must have a positive attitude and be a great team player • Requires maintenance of sample areas, including lifting boxes Pay Range:$59,000---$85,200 PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
