Explore life at Fortune Brands here Position location: Deerfield, IL - Hybrid Schedule- Tuesday - Thursday in office/Mondays and Fridays remote Job Description Within our in-house Creative Team, the Associate Digital Content Designer plays a key role in creating a wide variety of digital assets across the Fortune Brands Innovations portfolio of 20+ brands. This role supports the development of compelling, on-brand content that spans email campaigns, ecommerce graphics, website assets, and other digital touchpoints that drive engagement and deliver on business objectives. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help define new ways of bringing our brands to life digitally while adhering to best practices based on test and learn data. You’ll work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to design digital experiences that balance business goals with user needs. This role is a great fit for a motivated designer who’s eager to learn, grow, and make an impact across a diverse brand portfolio. Day-to-day, you’ll identify project scope, maintain timelines, develop content, participate in creative reviews, and provide status updates. You’ll follow established processes and systems while also contributing ideas that can help improve how our team operates. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging digital experiences while supporting the team’s continued growth and success. Responsibilities • The designer will be exposed to multiple content creation projects and key initiatives within a collaborative in-house creative group. • Create compelling, original, consumer-focused digital content that connects key product touch points for clear and compelling brand message dissemination that drives education, engagement, and conversion. • Translate graphical standards and key initiatives into effective digital creative solutions that are optimized for each channel, audience, and CTA. • Partner with Product, Channel, Sales, Ecommerce, and Marketing team members to translate marketing needs into unique, brand-driven content. • Work directly with other designers to provide design support, including versioning or adapting designs, implementing design direction, and working with customers, suppliers, and vendors. • Deliver high quality creative content while maintaining consistently high standards throughout the production process. Balance multiple projects with tight deadlines to ensure work is delivered on time. • Facilitate reviews both internally and externally while providing consistent updates and meeting varied deadlines. • Offer thought leadership to solve business needs through intelligent design solutions. Reach design solutions quickly and efficiently, sometimes with multiple voices and stakeholders. • Combine art and technology using a variety of design elements to communicate brand and product details through images and the layout of materials. • Organize complex and disparate source materials into simpler, integrated, impactful visual designs. • Maintain organization of files utilizing Digital Asset Management Systems and an established network filing system. • Potential to partner with customers and vendors, including marketing automation, cloud-based systems, and digital marketing experience platforms. • Facilitate creative content and graphics development with internal and external creative teams and agencies. This includes product photography, CGI, videos, digital content, and others as requested. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in digital, web, or graphic design is required. • Minimum of 2-4 years of design experience required, in-house or agency preferred. • Must be proficient in MAC operating systems and an expert in Adobe Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop, and Acrobat—working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite–Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Experience working in Figma is preferred. • Knowledge of various web/digital technologies (HTML, CSS), content management systems, and production methods is required. • Understand the purpose of digital content and how to design assets that will drive engagement. • Strong design aesthetic and color sense. • Strong portfolio showing design skills and process. • Ability to translate concept ideas to presentable mock-ups. • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, rapidly changing environment with tight timelines and multiple priorities. • Self-motivated; able to work efficiently and independently with limited supervision. Will seek out information and take direction directly from project requestors and stakeholders. Must often project manage one's workload. • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to justify design decisions and direction. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback. • Ability to work in project management system, as well as experience in a Digital Asset Management system. A creative portfolio showcasing graphic design experience required for consideration. Additional Information Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $45,000 USD - $77,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
