Role description
Cruisebound is seeking an Associate Product Owner to help shape the future of online cruise booking. This is an early-career role designed as a stepping stone into product management - perfect for someone smart, curious, and eager to learn. You’ll work alongside experienced product leaders and gain hands-on exposure to the full product lifecycle, from shaping ideas to delivering user-facing features.
Your responsibilities
As Cruisebound grows, your scope will expand. At the start, you’ll:
• Support backlog and sprint management to help the team stay organized and on pace
• Investigate and triage bug reports quickly, making sure issues are well understood
• Collaborate with designers to contribute to intuitive, detail-oriented user experiences
• Partner with the COO on high-priority initiatives and special projects
• Help develop, launch, and analyze experiments, ensuring tests are well set up
• Monitor product performance and surface insights by pulling on threads until the “why” is clear
• Assist in prioritization discussions and anticipate potential blockers early
The ideal candidate
• Has a bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field
• Has strong attention to detail, but balances it with an MVP mindset to move quickly
• Is deeply curious - asks questions, seeks to understand, and isn’t satisfied leaving stones unturned
• Gets excited about learning new tools and working with data, even without prior experience
• Is proactive - sees what needs to be done and takes initiative rather than waiting for direction
• Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while staying humble and accountable
• Speaks English fluently and is able to work during US Eastern or Central hours.
Compensation and benefits
The compensation package for this position comprises: (1) a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills, and (2) an employee stock option grant. In addition, we also offer our employees a comprehensive range of benefits including but not limited to:
• Excellent health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, etc.)
• Generous personal paid time off (PTO) allowance beginning with 20 days in the first year, plus 2 additional days per year of tenure (up to 30 days total)
• 4 company-wide holidays (first Friday of each quarter) and 12 public holidays observed
• $1,000 annual cruise credit to use on Cruisebound.com and additional employee rebates
• $100/month communication credit intended for cell phone and Wi-Fi expenses
