Role description
Girls Who Eat (GWE) is a fast-growing digital media brand dedicated to non-toxic living, ingredient education, and curated product recommendations across food, beauty, household, and more. We reach an engaged community of 400K+ conscious consumers.
Weβre seeking a Brand Copywriter to partner closely with our CEO in shaping and scaling the GWE voice across newsletters, branded content, and commerce-driven editorial. This role blends creative storytelling with performance-driven copy to produce compelling, high-converting content.
What Youβll Do
β’ Editorial: Write and edit high-quality newsletters and articles (gift guides, sale roundups, etc.) for Substack and help to refine GWEβs brand voice across all editorial.
β’ Content Production: Copyedit, proof, and perform quality assurance on all newsletters before publishing (formatting, links, images, layout), including newsletters written by other writers
β’ Branded Content & Projects: Support business campaigns by drafting copy for tentpoles, new launches, and website to ensure messaging is engaging, accurate, and conversion-driven.
β’ Performance-Driven Writing: Craft compelling subject lines, calls to action, and persuasive copy to maximize engagement and conversions.
β’ Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and editorial team, provide light feedback to writers, and create newsletter outlines. Step in to write or edit as needed.
β’ AI & Tools: Use AI tools to streamline outlining and light content generation while maintaining a brand editorially polished voice.
β’ Multi-Channel Support: Write captions, Substack Notes, LinkedIn posts, and light Canva graphics from templates.
β’ Content Management: Upload and format content in Substack or WordPress and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Youβre a Great Fit If You:
β’ Have 2-3+ years in copywriting or editorial roles for wellness, non-toxic, or βbetter-for-youβ brands.
β’ Can confidently write ingredient-focused educational content across various industries.
β’ Are skilled in editing/formatting with strong attention to detail and consistency.
β’ Understand affiliate marketing and commerce-driven content strategies.
β’ Have experience with Substack (or similar newsletter platforms).
β’ Are organized, proactive, and reliable in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment.
β’ Are familiar with Canva, Google Docs, WordPress, Monday.com, and related tools.
β’ Bring passion for wellness, non-toxic living, and e-commerce.
β’ Have experience supporting small editorial teams or start-ups.
