The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Analytics team that supports both the QVC and HSN brands across all platforms, including television, digital and emerging platforms. The Business Analyst - Marketing Analytics will support efforts to drive customer engagement. You will collaborate with both the QVC and HSN business, providing comprehensive analysis in both customer analytics and viewership analytics across QVC and HSN. You will analyze our current on-air and customer strategies in partnership with the Marketing, Broadcast Production, Programming, Digital and Merchandising teams. You will report to the Sr Manager Customer Analytics. This is a hybrid position in West Chester, PA. Who We Are QVC empowers shoppers with knowledge and shares insights in a lively and engaging way. Your Impact • You will develop insights to support the programming, marketing, ecommerce, production and planning teams • You will understand customer behavior across platforms to assign KPI's and identify trends impacting customer count, sales and viewership • Develop weekly/monthly reporting for KPI's to alert all levels of the organization to any shifts in trend and provide recommendations to address • Analyze viewership across 5 traditional TV channels and multiple platforms to help identify opportunities • Execute ad-hoc projects that help our programming and production teams create and schedule compelling programming to guide viewership • Work in partnership with the programming team to help advise on both complementary and counter programming strategies • Identify external trends/shifts and recommend data-driven responses to the always changing TV landscape • Develop new ways of analyzing viewership data • Leverage both viewership and sales data to provide a holistic view into the on-air business • Present findings in a clear format using data visualization to simplify complex analysis • Identify on-air business trends and provide recommendations to fuel data-driven responses What You Bring • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, engineering or related field • 2+ years of experience in data analytics (digital, marketing, business or viewership) • Experience with analysis tools including Excel, VBA, R, SPSS, Python, R, and, SAS • Understanding of database capabilities and integrating, structuring, and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources • Demonstrated expertise with SQL, Tableau, and BigQuery • Knowledge of digital analytics tools (Coremetrics, Google Trends, Hitwise, and Similar Web), data visualization tools (Tableau), statistical computing tools (R, SPSS), query and database access tools (MicroStrategy), digital analytics, TV analytics, industry trends and best practices • Capabilities in extracting, and manipulating large datasets • A fundamental understanding of incrementality • Knowledge of what metrics are critical to understanding the landscape of any problem • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to arrive at data-driven conclusions and express them Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
