Position Overview:
As an experienced Business Development Manager, your mission is simple: bring in
high-quality new business. You’ll identify, approach, and convert brands that are
primed for TikTok Shop success—working closely with our internal brand management
teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and long-term value.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who gets TikTok commerce, knows
how to sell agency-type services, and wants to be part of a fast-moving, future-facing
team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new leads: From DTC brands to challenger products— you’ll know who’s a good fit and how to reach them.
• Pitch social commerce services: Craft tailored proposals and presentations that show the value of TikTok Shop and Unsociable’s expertise.
• Close deals: Manage the full sales pipeline from outreach to signed contract.
• Build relationships: Develop strong connections with founders, CMOs, CROs, and e-commerce teams.
• Track trends & opportunities: Stay on top of TikTok and wider social commerce trends, platform updates, and competitor moves.
• Collaborate across teams: Work with strategy, creative, and operations to scope and price projects that deliver.
• Hit growth targets: Own and exceed monthly/quarterly new business KPIs.
• New Accounts Onboarding: Ensure an eicient and hassle-free onboarding handover process for any new brands to internal brand management teams, setting clear expectations and timelines.
• Team Management: Recruit, grow and nurture a small team of freelance/contract Sales Executives to support lead generation, overall sales pipeline and deal closure.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or growth roles, ideally within a social commerce or e-commerce environment.
• Strong knowledge of TikTok Shop, influencer/creator marketing, and social commerce brand culture.
• Confident closer: you can pitch, handle objections, and sign deals with clarity and confidence.
• Excellent communicator: written, verbal, and visual—you know how to sell with substance.
• Organised and proactive: you manage pipelines, follow-ups, and nurture brand relationships like a pro.
• Hungry for results: you’re commercially driven and thrive on exceeding targets.
Desirable:
• An existing network of DTC/e-com founders/CMOs, CROs, or brand contacts.
• Experience in TikTok Shop live selling, ailiate marketing, or creator partnerships.
• Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar.
• Previous agency-side experience across multiple verticals.
