Role description
BDM Travel:
My client is a leading global fintech company specialising in seamless and secure payment processing solutions. They empower businesses of all sizes to accept payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels through innovative, data-driven technology. The Role:
The role is UK based but offers a flexible/remote setup and provides you the opportunity to identify prospective customers and partners across UK and Europe from start-up to enterprise.
Responsibilities:
• Seek new prospective merchants and introducers proactively, promoting the benefits of the range of products and services
• Identify key challenges for merchants and partners, then address these by applying the appropriate range of products and services, whilst maintaining profitable terms
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with full support available from Line Manager, Department Director and Pricing Manager when sign-off is required
• Manage the aftercare of your newly onboarded customers until ready to be migrated to an Account Manager
• Maintain your introducer relationships by building trust and growing their portfolio of introduced merchants
• Regularly update our CRM system for accurate reporting, forecasting and pipeline management
• Represent our business at trade events when required
• Travel to meetings with prospect clients and partners to help maximise the quality of conversation, enabling us to address and resolve identified issues more effectively
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' proven experience selling in a payments environment, including research, discovering needs, recommending solutions, and solving business problems
• Comfortable selling to C-level executives
• Experience in eCommerce gateway and technical sales
• Strong needs development, solution selling, negotiation and communication skills
• Previous, recent experience of a consultative selling methodology
• Able to demonstrate consistent and successful business development in our £5m-50m annual card turnover segment
• Demonstrable experience in sector-specific, strategy-based sales
