Role Description We are seeking a full-time hybrid Business Development Manager based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, develop strategies to drive growth, negotiate deals, and close sales. As we continue to expand our presence, this position will take the lead in entering department stores and launching our own direct retail locations. Key Responsibilities: โ€ข Develop and execute strategies to secure partnerships with major department stores and retail chains. โ€ข Identify and negotiate prime retail locations for direct store openings (DSO). โ€ข Build relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners to drive wholesale growth. โ€ข Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to optimize retail expansion. โ€ข Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless retail execution. โ€ข Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to maximize profitability. Qualifications: โ€ข 3+ years of experience in retail business development, wholesale, or retail expansion (fashion/beauty industry preferred). โ€ข Proven track record of securing partnerships with department stores (e.g., Nordstrom, Macyโ€™s, Bloomingdaleโ€™s) or managing retail rollouts. โ€ข Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. โ€ข Ability to travel as needed for market research and partnership meetings. โ€ข Passion for fashion, e-commerce, and scaling DTC brands into physical retail.
