Key Responsibilities
β’ Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
β’ Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
β’ Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
β’ Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
β’ Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
β’ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches.
β’ Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.
β’ Develop skills in data analysis, communication, and organisation within a supportive environment.
β’ Participate in team activities to learn about product management and category operations.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor-level or Master-level student. You must currently be enrolled as a full-time university student at the time of applying.
β’ Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying (through an internship or otherwise) is a plus.
β’ No more than 2 years of work experience.
β’ Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends is a plus.
β’ Basic analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
β’ Basic skills in Excel.
β’ Proficient in English.
