Role description
As a Category Manager – Marketplace, you will be responsible for driving category performance across multiple client accounts on platforms such as Amazon UAE, Noon, and others. This role sits at the core of marketplace strategy, business performance, and client servicing — with full accountability for P&L delivery, pricing, promotions, catalog health, and marketplace-led growth across your assigned brands and categories. Key Responsibilities: 1. Own and drive category KPIs (GMV, sell-through, ROI, CTR, etc.) across multiple client accounts. 1. Develop and implement strategic plans for growth on Noon, Amazon UAE, and other GCC marketplaces. 1. Analyze data across platforms to derive actionable insights related to pricing, conversion, inventory health, and competition. 1. Collaborate with marketplace category teams to unlock visibility opportunities, event participation, and seller support. 1. Work cross-functionally with internal teams (cataloging, performance marketing, brand, and operations) to ensure flawless execution. 1. Identify assortment, pricing, or content gaps and propose proactive solutions to stay competitive. 1. Build and deliver weekly and monthly performance reports for internal leadership and clients. 1. Act as a strategic advisor to client brand teams; build deep partnerships and advise on e-commerce growth. 1. Stay updated on all marketplace policy changes, algorithm updates, and compliance requirements. 1. Monitor reviews, return rates, and customer feedback, and collaborate with internal teams to improve product performance. Requirements: • 3–4 years of experience in e-commerce or marketplace management, preferably in a fast-paced agency setup. • Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central and Noon Seller Lab. • Highly analytical with hands-on experience in Excel, Google Sheets, and dashboard tools like Data Studio or Power BI. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of managing both internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and categories efficiently. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience managing marketplace advertising (Amazon Ads, Noon Sponsored Ads) is a strong plus. • Exposure to categories like Fashion, Electronics, Beauty, FMCG, or Home. • Familiarity with catalog tools, inventory planning, and feed management systems. • Understanding of UAE/GCC consumer behavior and peak sales periods.
