Role description
Position: Branding Expert (Equity-Based Consultant / Future CMO) Location: Remote (flexible hours) Commitment: Part-time consultancy with potential to transition to full-time upon fundraising About Glou-Glou Glou-Glou is an AI-powered wine discovery platform designed to demystify wine for curious enthusiasts and veteran collectors alike. Our mission is to transform the ritual of choosing and enjoying wine—whether at home or in a restaurant—into an engaging, personalized journey. Our goal: 10,000 new sign-ups in the next 3 months & and an active Instagram follow count 15k + to drive traffic. Role Overview We’re seeking a dynamic Branding Expert to craft and amplify our brand story, drive marketing campaigns that convert, and elevate Glou-Glou’s presence across digital channels. You will work closely with the founding team to: • Architect a cohesive brand identity and messaging framework • Develop and implement growth-driving brand campaigns • Optimize our digital touchpoints (website, social media, email) for maximum conversion This is an equity-only position initially, with the opportunity for a salaried leadership role (e.g. CMO) once we close our fundraising round. Key Responsibilities • Brand Strategy & Positioning: • Define Glou-Glou’s unique value proposition in the wine-tech space • Craft a compelling brand narrative and visual guidelines • Campaign Development & Execution: • Design high-impact user-acquisition campaigns (social, influencer partnerships, content marketing) • Collaborate on growth experiments (A/B tests, referral programs, email drips) to hit sign-up targets • Digital & Social Media Oversight: • Audit and refine website messaging and flows to improve conversion rate • Manage content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, newsletter, and blog • Build relationships with wine influencers, bloggers, and press outlets • Analytics & Optimization: • Establish KPIs (CPL, conversion rates, engagement) and track performance • Iterate on messaging and creative assets based on data insights Qualifications • MUST LOVE WINE! • 5+ years of branding, marketing, or growth strategy experience—preferably in consumer-facing apps, lifestyle brands, or food & beverage tech • Proven track record of driving user acquisition and hitting high-growth target. • Deep understanding of digital channels: paid social, email marketing, influencer partnerships, SEO/content • Strong creative sense with ability to translate brand voice into compelling copy and visuals • Analytical mindset: comfortable with data, A/B testing, and using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar • Highly collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset, and excited to roll up sleeves in a scrappy startup environment What We Offer • Equity Grant: Competitive slice of the cap table, vesting over 4 years with a one-year cliff • Leadership Opportunity: Path to CMO or Head of Marketing role with competitive salary post-fundraising • Flexible Work: Fully remote, set your own hours, join weekly strategy calls • Creative Freedom: Lead brand vision from day one and shape Glou-Glou’s identity in the wine world How to Apply Please send the following to info@glou-glou.co with the subject line “Branding Expert Application”: 1.
