Role description
About the Job
Conversion Optimization & Growth Manager
5 days in San Francisco
Our client is building the future of conversion optimization powered by AI. We are redefining how companies approach website experimentation—from fast-growing scale-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
We are an in-person team based in San Francisco, working in a high-energy, collaborative environment. Our culture is talent-dense: competitive programmers, former founders, and AI researchers from top institutions who have created some of the most widely used OSS code generation projects.
If you want to be part of a team at the intersection of AI and growth marketing, this is the place.
What You’ll Do
As a Conversion Optimization & Growth Manager, you’ll act as the bridge between our cutting-edge technology and our clients’ business goals. You will:
• Partner with clients to understand their user journeys, identify friction points, and develop testing strategies that align with their growth objectives.
• Design, build, and launch website experiments using our proprietary tooling—ranging from copy tests to full funnel optimizations.
• Analyze performance data, interpret test results, and provide clients with clear, actionable insights.
• Manage client relationships, set expectations, and communicate results in a way that balances transparency and strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with our engineering and AI research teams, providing feedback from real-world client use cases to help shape the evolution of our platform.
• Act as a thought partner for clients, helping them embrace an experimentation-first mindset that drives measurable outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone with a rare combination of analytical rigor, technical know-how, and client-facing skills. Specifically:
• Proven experience running conversion optimization and website experimentation programs—whether at an agency, consultancy, or in-house.
• Technical fluency in building website variations (e.g., front-end development, HTML/CSS/JS, experimentation platforms).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and turn insights into strategies.
• High empathy and interpersonal skills—you know how to make clients feel heard while confidently guiding them toward the best solutions.
• Exceptional expectation management—you can balance competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and build trust with stakeholders.
• Curiosity and adaptability—thriving in a fast-paced startup environment where no two weeks look the same.
