About The Role
Vacation is seeking a talented and creative Copywriter to elevate the brand’s voice across all channels and formats. Reporting directly to the VP of Brand, this role involves crafting compelling brand storytelling and product-driven communication that resonates with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative writing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, sales, and partnerships. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the brand’s creative identity while supporting performance marketing and e-commerce initiatives. The role is remote, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. The Copywriter will contribute to various projects, from product descriptions and marketing campaigns to social media content and retail activations, ensuring consistency and alignment with Vacation’s fun, vibrant brand aesthetic.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• Successful submission to Vacation’s copywriting assessment
• Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience collaborating with creative teams and project managers
• Strong understanding of brand and performance-oriented copywriting
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, and editing skills
• Ability to adapt tone and style to match the Vacation brand aesthetic
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds
• A passion for sunscreen, wellness, and a good sense of humor
• Desire to contribute to the growth of Vacation into a household name
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute creative product marketing messaging across various channels, including packaging, website, social media, retailer sites, and point-of-sale materials
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams on new product launches, including campaign concepts, photoshoots, and marketing collateral
• Assist with product ideation, naming, and positioning to ensure alignment with brand voice and strategy
• Create engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram captions, video scripts, and print ad copy
• Manage and produce email campaigns and blog content in collaboration with the growth marketing team
• Contribute to partnership and event initiatives by developing creative concepts and presentation materials
• Support retail activation efforts through copywriting for promotional materials, sweepstakes, and OOH advertising
• Assist in developing, implementing, and optimizing departmental processes, guidelines, and resources
• Onboard new team members, freelancers, and agencies to ensure consistency in brand tone and messaging
