About The Role
Vacation is seeking a talented and creative Copywriter to elevate the brand’s voice across all channels and formats. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Brand, this role involves crafting compelling brand storytelling and product-driven communication that resonates with diverse audiences. The Copywriter will play a vital role in shaping the brand’s creative identity while supporting performance marketing and e-commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for storytelling, branding, and the sun protection category. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to new product launches, develop engaging content for social media, email marketing, and retail activations, and help build scalable processes within a fast-paced environment. As a remote position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future, and be eager to contribute to a fun, innovative, and growth-oriented company.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field
• Successful completion of Vacation’s copywriting assessment
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience collaborating closely with creative teams and project managers
• Strong understanding of brand and performance-oriented copywriting
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, and editing skills
• Ability to adapt tone and style to match the Vacation brand aesthetic
• Experience in developing content for social media, websites, product packaging, and marketing collateral
• Passion for sunscreen, sun safety, and a good sense of humor
• Desire to contribute to the growth of Vacation into a household name
Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and executing creative product marketing messaging across various touchpoints, including packaging, website descriptions, social media, retailer sites, and POS materials
• Support the creative development of new product launch campaigns, collaborating with design and marketing teams on concepts, photoshoots, and launch assets
• Contribute to new product ideation, naming, and positioning strategies
• Develop creative concepts and copy for partnership initiatives, events, and promotional campaigns
• Create and manage engaging social media content, including captions, video scripts, and campaign ideas
• Lead the copy development for email marketing campaigns and blog content, coordinating with growth marketing teams
• Support ad hoc creative needs such as retail activations, sweepstakes, OOH ads, and retailer education videos
• Contribute to the development and refinement of department processes, guidelines, and resource libraries
• Assist in onboarding new team members, freelancers, and agencies to ensure consistent brand tone and messaging
