Role Overview As the Creative Content & Marketing Specialist, you’ll be the creative force behind DM Vans’ digital presence, capturing the heart of the brand and translating it into compelling, high-performing content across platforms. This is a hybrid role blending hands-on execution with strategic collaboration. You’ll produce photo and video content, create and optimize paid ad campaigns, publish website updates, and help tell the DM Vans story to the world through our social channels. This is a content-first role that demands high-quality output. You’ll use AI tools to support ideation and workflows, but your content must be authentic and human, real, and rooted in the lives of our customers. You’ll generate original content and also coordinate with the team to gather raw assets: editing, scheduling, and ensuring everything aligns with the calendar. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to shape and execute content, campaigns, and marketing strategy. DM Vans Core Values 1. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Management • Capture, edit, and publish photo and video content for social, web, blog, and YouTube • Lead storytelling initiatives that highlight our vans, customers, and brand personality • Manage and execute the marketing content calendar for all digital channels Content Coordination & Execution • Collaborate with team members to gather in-the-moment content from van builds, events, customer interactions, and shows • Edit and repurpose team-generated content into polished posts, reels, blog features, and email campaigns • Maintain consistency and timeliness by aligning all content with the master calendar Advertising & Performance • Create, manage, and optimize paid campaigns across Google and Meta • Report on campaign and content performance (CTR, leads, ROAS, etc.) • Maintain reporting dashboards with clear insights and recommendations • Learn and improve—training on ad strategy and budget optimization provided Website & Digital Updates • Update and maintain content in WordPress (Elementor) • Create landing pages, blog posts, and seasonal content refreshes • Support ongoing SEO improvements and AI-optimized content publishing Field & Event Content • Attend van expos around the country and on-site shoots in Rifle, Colorado, and throughout the west to gather content • Coordinate campaign assets tied to builds, events, and launches • Support internal storytelling that brings our culture to life Skills & Qualifications • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in photography, videography, digital marketing, or a related field • 1–3 years of experience in content marketing, creative production, or digital strategy • Comfortable being behind or in front of the camera • Working knowledge of design tools for digital content creation (Adobe Creative Suite Apps, Canva, Figma, Capcut etc.) • Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads; willing to learn and improve with mentorship • Strong writing and communication skills • Experience using AI tools (like ChatGPT or Claude) to assist with drafting and ideation, while maintaining a human-centered, educational voice • Solid understanding of social media platforms and content best practices • Basic knowledge of SEO and AI Optimization (AIO) principles to support content visibility • Portfolio demonstrating original photo, video, and/or written content • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects independently • Based in Colorado or willing to relocate • Bonus Points For • Experience with WordPress and Elementor • Familiarity with WooCommerce and eCommerce flows • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) • Understanding of Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking • Knowledge of Odoo or other ERP/CRM platforms • Passion for the outdoors, vanlife, or DIY adventure culture KPIs • Content Output (Individual + Team-Supported) • Create and publish 4 blog posts and 4–6 short-form videos per month • Produce 1–2 long-form or YouTube videos per month • 2+ scheduled emails per month • Content Calendar Execution • Content calendar organized and optimized every rolling 2 months • ≥ 90% of planned content (blog, video, email, web) delivered on time and in alignment with the brand • Organic Growth & Lead Shift • Measurable growth in organic traffic and inbound leads • Progressive reduction in reliance on paid ads while maintaining total lead volume • Attribution & Sales Impact • Content-driven and organic leads contribute to 3+ van sales per quarter (tracked via UTM & CRM) Compensation & Growth • Base Salary: Starting at $55,000/year, depending on experience. • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and 401(k). • Perks: #Vanlife travel opportunities, creative freedom, equipment support, collabs with premier brands, and a flexible work environment built on trust and results. • Employee Ownership: Eligible for the DM Vans employee‑ownership program, sharing in long‑term success. • Career Path: Opportunities to grow into a more senior marketing or creative strategy role as the company scales.
