Title: CRM and Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Role Summary
We’re looking for a CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Manager who can blend technical mastery of lifecycle marketing with deep empathy for our brand and customers. This role is responsible for managing the full customer messaging lifecycle—designing and optimizing email and SMS strategies that are both performance-driven and emotionally resonant.
You’ll own segmentation, automation, testing, and reporting across channels (Klaviyo, Shopify, and others), ensuring every message reflects Maileg’s distinct voice while driving customer retention, repurchase, and long-term loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
✨ Lifecycle Marketing Execution
• Own the end-to-end execution of the global email and SMS marketing strategy, including campaign planning, behavioral flows, and triggered automations
• Build and continuously optimize journeys such as: welcome series, cart/browse abandonment, post-purchase, product drops, holiday gifting, winback, and collector-specific flows
• Develop multi-touch campaigns that nurture different customer segments through the funnel, with attention to first-time buyers vs. repeat customers
🧠 Segmentation, Data & Personalization
• Define and manage dynamic audience segments using behavioral data, transactional history, and engagement metrics
• Personalize messages using customer data (e.g. past purchases, geographic region, gift occasions, collector interests)
• Maintain high standards of deliverability and compliance (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, etc.)
🧪 Testing & Optimization
• Build structured A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, creative, send times, and segmentation logic
• Monitor key metrics (OR, CTR, CVR, unsubscribes, revenue per recipient) and take corrective action to improve performance
• Use campaign and flow reporting to draw insights, recommend improvements, and present results to the leadership team
🎨 Creative Alignment & Brand Stewardship
• Work closely with our creative and copy teams to ensure all campaigns are beautifully executed, emotionally engaging, and consistent with Maileg’s tone and visual identity
• Translate technical flows and transactional messages into moments that feel thoughtful, not automated
• Champion the customer experience in messaging—balancing commercial goals with delight, warmth, and story
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing, preferably in DTC eCommerce
• Expertise in Klaviyo or equivalent platform (flows, campaign builder, liquid tags, integrations, deliverability monitoring)
• Strong working knowledge of Shopify, segmentation logic, customer data platforms (CDPs), and marketing automation tools
• Data-literate: proficient in building reports using built-in tools or platforms like Looker, GA4, or similar
• Experience managing SMS marketing (compliance, tone, cadence, segmentation)
• Familiarity with multilingual campaign strategies and international sending best practices a plus
• Bonus: Experience in brands where storytelling, gifting, and emotional engagement play a key role in the customer journey
Personal Attributes
• Meticulous attention to detail; strong project management and QA processes
• Ability to manage both strategy and execution—comfortable doing hands-on flow building and campaign QA
