Role description
Customer Analytics Manager – Retail | £60,000 | Hybrid (Liverpool, 3 days a week) Are you passionate about using data to truly understand customer behavior and shape business strategy? This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented analytics team within a major retail brand, influencing decisions at the very top of the organization. As Customer Analytics Manager, you’ll own the customer data strategy, ensuring the business has the insights needed to drive growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role blends hands-on technical capability with strategic influence, giving you exposure to senior stakeholders and a huge platform to make an impact. What You’ll Be Doing • Leading and developing a team of six analysts across customer, ecommerce, and engineering. • Partnering closely with senior leaders, including the Chief Product, Brand & Commercial Officer, to shape customer strategy. • Owning the customer analytics roadmap – from building capability to delivering actionable insights. • Using SQL (BigQuery) to interrogate data and enable data-driven decisions. • Driving understanding of customer health, behavior, and the impact on business performance. What We’re Looking For • Strong SQL skills (able to read and write queries confidently). • Experience in customer analytics, marketing analytics, or ecommerce analytics. • Retail background preferred – experience in a data-led environment where customer behavior is key. • Proven ability to influence at a strategic level and deliver insight that drives commercial outcomes. • A proactive mindset – someone who takes ownership and drives change, not just reports on it. If you’re ready to lead a team, own the customer analytics agenda, and make a tangible impact, this could be the perfect move.
